If I just opened one parcel......I can see that one may well be toffees and I’d really really like one now?

MissAdventure Mon 21-Dec-20 20:51:50

The elf? wink

Chewbacca Mon 21-Dec-20 20:54:37

I think it was MissA. He's currently hanging by one arm from a lampshade, looking distinctly pleased and porky with himself.

MissAdventure Mon 21-Dec-20 20:57:30

That'll be your culprit then.
You'll have to replace what he's scoffed.

MissAdventure Mon 21-Dec-20 20:59:26

........... and eat them..........

SuzannahM Mon 21-Dec-20 21:01:30

We haven't started on the chocolates yet (mainly because we have a cupboard full of Jaffa cakes - biscuits not chocolates!) but we did open the Baileys tonight.

It's a bit out of date so we thought we had better test it in case we need a new one fr Christmas Day.

I opened the Christmas brandy last night, I sort of regret it now but not at the timesmile

Kim19 Mon 21-Dec-20 21:10:33

Go on. Let's have Christmas for more than one day this year.

Callistemon Mon 21-Dec-20 21:12:21

You have to share them with everyone on this thread.
It's the rool.

Father Christmas is watching to make sure you do

Blossoming Mon 21-Dec-20 21:13:21

There are some very naughty Grans in this thread! I hope that pesky Elf on a Shelf isn’t watching.

Millie22 Mon 21-Dec-20 21:13:58

Can you just have one or two and then rewrap the present ..no-one will ever know.

Blossoming Mon 21-Dec-20 21:16:22

SuzannahM. I don’t understand the concept of ‘out of date Baileys’ grin

Chewbacca Mon 21-Dec-20 21:18:17

I hope that pesky Elf on a Shelf isn’t watching.

It was him wot did it!

SuzannahM Mon 21-Dec-20 21:22:14

Blossoming until we found the bottle at the back of the cupboard neither did I! But I think it's a Best Before date, not a Use By date. It's only a year past the date.

Normally it disappears so fast I might as well use a straw rather than a glass. Don't know how this one escaped into the back of the cupboard.

I opened a tin of Quality Street last Christmas, peeled off the sellotape, prised the lid off only to find my 2 grown up sons had eaten half of them and taped the tin back up! Go for it ?

GrandmasueUK Mon 21-Dec-20 21:46:03

My little brother used to open his selection box, eat all the chocolate, put the empty wrappers back and when he cried because he had no chocolate I was made to share mine with him. Grr! I’d love a selection box now.
???

Urmstongran Mon 21-Dec-20 21:51:14

?
mancgirl I thort you’d have brung up your boys better than to do THAT!

I’m horrified by all this deceit and conniving behaviour!

Where’s your moral fibre ladies?

Willpower is like a muscle.
You have to exercise it you know.
You never know under what circumstances you may need it.

I’m so disappointed in you lot. Just look at how Galaxy was sorry wot she did last night. Look & learn.

Blossoming Mon 21-Dec-20 21:53:36

Has she got a hangover? Perhaps hair of the dog is needed.

SuzieHi Mon 21-Dec-20 22:02:06

Nooooooooo...... you’ll feel really cross with yourself tomorrow

seacliff Mon 21-Dec-20 22:02:11

Reminds me of one Christmas when my boys were about 8 and 10. It was Christmas Morning and I said it was time to all have a chocolate off the tree.

I went to hand them round, and found the little blighters had already scoffed the lot. They had reshaped and hung the empty foil back up after.grin

mancgirl Mon 21-Dec-20 22:08:50

Seems to me after reading other posts, there are a lot of norty boys about Urmston?

Urmstongran Mon 21-Dec-20 22:16:16

Unbeknown to my DSL, his university housemates did the same thing but being innocent of the fact, he took it back to the shop and because he looked so guiltless he was given a replacement.

Ailsa43 Mon 21-Dec-20 22:35:02

chewbacca grin hahahahaha... that made me laugh out loud!!

seacliff Mon 21-Dec-20 22:40:50

It's always the boys.
