I vote you do it midgey. Then, if you don't like them, wrap them back up and pass them onto someone else and go and buy yourself some that you do like. You wouldn't want all that anticipation and then find out on Christmas morning that you've got toffees you don't like do you? And with no shops open, you'd be unable to replace them. Do it now!

At the beginning of December I bought (and hid them away in a place that only I knew about)

One large box of dark chocolate after dinner mint selection
1 box of chocolate honeycomb
1 box of dark chocolate violet creams
1 more box of chocolate honeycomb
I box of Lindt chocolate balls (mixed flavours)
I more box of chocolate honeycomb

And someone has eaten the lot!
