We went for a walk this afternoon . We saw daffodils, camelia flowers, snowdrops and primroses. Good to have some optimism, they certainly cheered me up.

Yes. I agree Lully. The bulbs peeping through - a sign of hope -and the shortest darkest day has passed. I have a solitary primrose in flower in my garden. tchsmile

Here’s my Winter Flowering Jasmine, which always makes me smile. ?

My wallflower have been flowering for the last month.
The thing is, they are very late rather than early, as I planted them in autumn last year! ?

Oh isn't that Jasmine beautiful. I don't suppose there's a smell to it ?

My mother in law came to ours every Christmas and would always bring me a bunch of daffodils. I now carry on the tradition taking a bunch for my daughter or daughter-in-law whichever one is hosting. Alas not this year though as we will be spending it on our own.

As I was leaving the house yesterday morning I noticed what I think is a daffodil beginning to poke out of the soil by the front door. I smiled...spring is on the way...there is hope. ?

We have violets, winter clematis, winter honeysuckle and winter box flowering. Pots of cyclamen and pansies. Plus a red rose.

Daffodils are my absolute favourite!

I picked a rose on Christmas Eve, also camellia flowering - not somewhere tropical, West Midlands!

Odd I know - but I can’t abide anything yellow - other than daffodils in Spring. My old friend in Leicestershire is obsessed with them - she commissioned a stained glass window of them in her last house and has now renamed her new house after them. Her now XDH used to buy up dozens and dozens of bunches for her February birthday.

My daffs are peeping out!

It's one of the most joyous things, seeing new bulbs emerging through the soil. Spring flowers are to me a symbol of hope.
I've got Christmas roses out at the moment, - I think the real name is hellebores.

You lucky people seeing daffodils appearing. Mine will pop up around April after the Canadian snow melts.☃️

The blackbird was bathing....on my lawn! Spring may be awhile here!
