Does anyone do their New Year’s cleaning of the whole house? I have always done that, whole house gets properly done, front and back doors get washed, clean bedding on beds. It’s something my mum taught me to do to start off the New Year. Just wondered if anyone has this tradition.

Just about finished my usual New Year's cleaning. It was interesting to read various comments but I for one not only enjoys this ritual but it also pays homage to my dear mum whose tradition I carry forward, that pleases me. Happy New Year to all of you when it comes.

I find if I keep the house quite tidy I can get away with less cleaning. Just as well because I find it boring and tiring - more so as I get older ...........grin

Quite agree, DanniRae. Unfortunately, I am the only tidy one in my family, so I am faced with an uphill struggle
