I bought Mindfulness and Meditation, with uplifting monthly quotes.

"Happiness is your nature. It is not wrong to desire it.
What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside."

A cheap one!

None - I use my phone.

My usual Anne Taintor. Her humour always makes me smile, though it’s had to work harder at it this year.

At least I can get rid of the old one that started off so full of promise and ended up just full of crossings out. It won’t take long to set the new one up with the weekly zoom quizzes, plus one booked supermarket delivery and a physio appointment. smile

We get free calendars from a few different places. They use them as advertisements. Usually animals or Canadian scenery.

I always buy The Year Planner from the National Gallery, it is small and sits by the phone with pen.

I have back copies going back years.

I too use my phone.

A photobook one. We use the calendar a lot and its in a fairly prominent place so I've done one reflecting what we did each month in 2020. Its a good reminder. This one has rather a lot of our garden!

No wall calendar. I have a diary that is open on a sort of book stand in the kitchen and a small one in my handbag. These are for appointments, birthdays and social .
I also have a diary next to my bed. Each night I write a little about the day.

Tbh I forgot all about a new calendar till I read your thread title. I would normally have several things scribbled on the back of the current calendar ready to transfer to the new year one. Appointments, meet ups with friends etc.

I can’t even remember when I last looked at the current planner as it’s been blank for months. Now you’ve reminded, I will buy one online and look forward to eventually having something to write on it.

A vaccination appointment date will be recorded with a neon highlighter!

I get one with the Magazine Gardeners World , it has room for appointments and reminders and garden tips for each month

harrigran Thu 31-Dec-20 08:11:31

A one sent from Germany by my sister.
I used to love it when DS made photograph calendars with pictures of the children from throughout the year.

I am always given one with photos of the DGC but we tend to use our Google calendars.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 31-Dec-20 08:13:02

I’ve pencilled in a cottage holiday at the end of March, and July as well as holiday to Sardinia in September ??????

I’ve also pencilled in some rescheduled theatre dates beginning in April

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it could all take place?

One of the slimline ones with columns for 'him' 'her' & 'them' or something along those lines. There's usually some amusing cartoon sketched illustrations in on them. We never pay much though. We both also keep diaries and appointments are put on our mobile phone calendars to sound an alert as a reminder. Although I imagine, now we are in tier 4 there won't be many appointments to attend for a while.

A couple of freebies and a lovely one with photos of the DGDs put together by my DiL. She also made an Advent calendar with photos of all the DGs in collaboration with my other DiL. I'm going to leave that hanging for a bit...

The one on the wall in the kitchen is to look at only as it is a beautiful photo one of my adorable Grandson. By my side where I sit in the living room I keep a charity one from The Mare and Foal Sanctuary. This has all the birthdays, social meet ups and appointments on it - no social meet ups at the moment sadly sad

I wouldn't buy one, though, to answer the OP. Not enough space on the walls. Then there's that traipse around the house on the 1st of every month to turn the page grin

Urmstongran Thu 31-Dec-20 08:40:01

We have this one every year, a wall planner, with a gorgeous photo each month.

My stepfather’s house is in Plockton (been in the family for just over a hundred years and he’s in the process of selling it to his second cousin). This year his house is there on the front cover. A beautiful village - we all hope to visit again next year!

Nortsat Thu 31-Dec-20 08:45:42

We usually have two, one in the kitchen and one in the office.

We always buy the BBC Countryfile calendar in aid of Children in Need which has lovely photography of wildlife. I was also given a lovely one from Oxfam as a gift - with the art works of Gustav Klimt.
So that should sort us out.

Since I retired this year I have found out how to operate both phone and iPad appointments and now use them as a diary. They only problem is that all the records of appointments and meetings for this year will not join the pile of 40+ odd old diaries which come in handy time to time when the family ask when did .....

NotAGran55 Thu 31-Dec-20 08:48:55

Never used one . My MIL used to give me one every year and I passed it onto the charity shop but thankfully she has stopped now . I carry a pocket Filofax with new annual inserts.

Greyduster Thu 31-Dec-20 08:49:32

I have one my cousin sends me every year, produced by their small coastal community in Ireland with photos of their village and surrounding area. They have some very talented photographers; I get seriously envious. I keep it in the kitchen by the fridge.

Jaxjacky Thu 31-Dec-20 08:57:16

This will be the first year I haven’t got one, 2020 is Banks, previously have been my football team. I have a hard copy diary for birthdays etc, reminders on my phone.
