My daughter sends me one every year but so far the one for 2021 has not arrived. I still like to have my wall calendar with all the important dates pencilled in despite using the Google one as well. Think I still don't totally trust technology.
I use my phone but Ive also got a freebie from Cotswold Life with lovely local photos, so I’ll use that too as back up. Not a lot written on 2020 one so hoping for an improvement on 2021 ?
This will be the first year I haven’t got one, 2020 is Banks, previously have been my football team. I have a hard copy diary for birthdays etc, reminders on my phone.
I have one my cousin sends me every year, produced by their small coastal community in Ireland with photos of their village and surrounding area. They have some very talented photographers; I get seriously envious. I keep it in the kitchen by the fridge.
Never used one . My MIL used to give me one every year and I passed it onto the charity shop but thankfully she has stopped now . I carry a pocket Filofax with new annual inserts.
Since I retired this year I have found out how to operate both phone and iPad appointments and now use them as a diary. They only problem is that all the records of appointments and meetings for this year will not join the pile of 40+ odd old diaries which come in handy time to time when the family ask when did .....
We usually have two, one in the kitchen and one in the office.
We always buy the BBC Countryfile calendar in aid of Children in Need which has lovely photography of wildlife. I was also given a lovely one from Oxfam as a gift - with the art works of Gustav Klimt. So that should sort us out.
We have this one every year, a wall planner, with a gorgeous photo each month.
My stepfather’s house is in Plockton (been in the family for just over a hundred years and he’s in the process of selling it to his second cousin). This year his house is there on the front cover. A beautiful village - we all hope to visit again next year!
I wouldn't buy one, though, to answer the OP. Not enough space on the walls. Then there's that traipse around the house on the 1st of every month to turn the page
The one on the wall in the kitchen is to look at only as it is a beautiful photo one of my adorable Grandson. By my side where I sit in the living room I keep a charity one from The Mare and Foal Sanctuary. This has all the birthdays, social meet ups and appointments on it - no social meet ups at the moment sadly
A couple of freebies and a lovely one with photos of the DGDs put together by my DiL. She also made an Advent calendar with photos of all the DGs in collaboration with my other DiL. I'm going to leave that hanging for a bit...
One of the slimline ones with columns for 'him' 'her' & 'them' or something along those lines. There's usually some amusing cartoon sketched illustrations in on them. We never pay much though. We both also keep diaries and appointments are put on our mobile phone calendars to sound an alert as a reminder. Although I imagine, now we are in tier 4 there won't be many appointments to attend for a while.
Tbh I forgot all about a new calendar till I read your thread title. I would normally have several things scribbled on the back of the current calendar ready to transfer to the new year one. Appointments, meet ups with friends etc.
I can’t even remember when I last looked at the current planner as it’s been blank for months. Now you’ve reminded, I will buy one online and look forward to eventually having something to write on it.
A vaccination appointment date will be recorded with a neon highlighter!
No wall calendar. I have a diary that is open on a sort of book stand in the kitchen and a small one in my handbag. These are for appointments, birthdays and social . I also have a diary next to my bed. Each night I write a little about the day.
A photobook one. We use the calendar a lot and its in a fairly prominent place so I've done one reflecting what we did each month in 2020. Its a good reminder. This one has rather a lot of our garden!
