We did the garden over and we installed a slate monolith and water feature. They were so lovely and the guy was great to deal with I ended up buying my DH a matching wine rack for Christmas. I keep looking on the website to see what else he sells so I can ring him and listen to his lovely welsh accent. ?

Mini Nest. Only cost under £20 and plays any music I want just for the asking.

Airpods, I mostly listen to comedy podcasts, often laughing out loud in shops, cant imagine what other shoppers must think.

Obs it isn’t Woodmouse ??? too blonde......

Mollygo

Thermal underwear from M&S - they look like thin jumpers but are so effective. An electric egg boiler/poacher. I could never guarantee good poached eggs, but Eggs Benedict with bacon, ham or smoked salmon and Eggs Florentine are regularly on the menu now.

Mollygo. Aren’t you so glad you’ve got these to wear now!. I have some from last year. They feel so lovely against your skin and they keep you so warm.
I don’t have an electric egg boiler/poacher but I’m thinking.......

A Panasonic bread maker. OH likes fresh bread so this cuts down trips to the shops.

My other best buy were a couple of luxurious Lilysilk silk pillowcases. So good, I bought some for my DDs for Christmas. Supposed to be good for your face (wrinkles!) and hair. Still waiting to see the difference but it’s early days.... ?

Ambre I bought it on Amazon. Just enter Retro Turntable. Just looked & it’s on for £83.29. (I-box Walters Timeless Collection)

Why post a self portrait?

Who's posted a self portrait on this thread?

I think grannylynn65 means the picture of the lady enjoying the hammock?

Thought woodmouse49 was looking good for 70?

A George Foreman grill.
We use it for sausages, fish fingers, chops, chicken smitten, steaks and gammon.
The fat runs out into a a tray underneath for disposal.

Puzzler I love the sound of ‘chicken smitten’ ... recipe please!

A Tefal air fryer which, not only cooks food more quickly but is healthier as no fat/oil required. It’s easy to clean as the removable parts can safely be placed in the “doshwisher”!!

A greenhouse which was erected in March the weekend before lockdown. It was a full time job planting seeds, pricking out, planting up, and kept us in chillies and tomatoes throughout the summer. Also, a new sewing machine and overlocker which enabled me to make NHS scrubs and masks, and now I’m making quilts with scraps for the animal shelter.

My 18 year old people carrier was playing up, so I left it for my husband to take it to the garage while I was away with friends in February.
By the time I got home he'd bought me a 2 year old Hyundai i800 8-seater.
It's huge, but being automatic and with a reversing camera it drives like a dream and I love it.
Great for the school run and park trips!

At home we've finally had a downstairs toilet fitted, which is a great asset.

Curlywhirly Fri 01-Jan-21 00:59:26

Oh and at the other end of the scale I bought some 400 thread count sheets and a duvet set from Laura Ashley - so luxurious and heaven to sleep in ?

Curlywhirly Fri 01-Jan-21 00:29:31

A potato peeler from Aldi, only cost 1 pound and is the best peeler I have ever bought. Went back a couple of weeks later to get another and they had been reduced to 50p!
