Good Morning All x.
Bright and sunny but doesn't feel that cold,. no frost/ ice or anything just some dampness.
I've got a terrible feeling that my fridge/freezer has given up the ghost. For some unknown reason while doing my first cup of tea earlier and on getting the milk out of the fridge it seemed to be silent. I stood still to listen for the motor running and couldn't hear anything.
Then I maneouvered it slightly to jiggle it a bit and nothing. Although the light inside works and everything is cold, with freezer food solid, I didn't feel that it was working. There's no sign of de-frosting.
That's all I want ! I don't know what prompted me to be concerned about it really. Anyway it's a bit late in the day to do anything if it has died on me.
Typical start to the New Year where I'm concerned. (rolls eyes) If it has gone caput I'll get D to collect the frozen food then I'll have to get a replacement on Monday. What a pest.
This has set me back about an hour, fiddling and listening for the motor humming, plus I was later with the crumpets.
Could have been worse, like last week .
Oh gee, after all that I've just heard the darned thing click into life ! What's the matter with me ? It comes to something when your reduced to listening out for the motor running on your fridge-freezer. What a carry-on ! I blame Covid.
I'm so sorry for all this especially when others aren't so grand, my problem's obviously going potty in my old age.
Hope you feel a bit better today Harrigran, stay on the bland diet, not that you'll feel like much else anyway.
-the sun's cracking the flags here, it's lovely, which reminds me of what a couple of posters have said about evenings noticeably drawing out. They are too.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever you do and take care underfoot if it's icy. Stay safe and well and thoughts to Gilly for a better New Year xx
