My hair is migrating!

My under arm hair has gone walk about, only to appear on my chin. My down below hair ? is now coming out my nose instead of where it should be. The hair on top of my head is thinning but it’s now luxuriating on my top lip. The hair on my legs is still there but has spread to top of my toes. Goodness only knows what I’m turning into, half bald yeti comes to mind.
Anyone else have similar problems?

Oh lord,i have to do face of every other day which my dh thinks is hilarious.
I dread loosing my tweezers.

So funny! - thank you for the light relief

I have never been hirsute.
But.... since the menopause arrived I have peach fuzz on my face ?
Its fair so not so bad.
I've never had hairy armpits (oxters to those in Scotland) which has been a blessing.
I shave my legs occasionally but nobody is looking at them at moment (mores the pity, bloody covid) .
When I could get to the place that deals with hair, what's it called now? Oh yes I remember, the hairdresser (bloody covid) I have to have my hair thinned because its seriously thick and unruly and won't hold my style (haha) without it.
Dickydido hair I can't see, and I'm not showing to anyone else (bloody covid) so I'm not fussed what that looks like ?

Life is full of paradox. The young ones go and get a bikini wax and we grieve for the loss of it!!

Ditto Bluebellwould. Your post is both hilarious and reassuring.

These messages have really made me laugh this morning! Thanks everyone for such wit and humour xx

I have the cure for the down below hair worries - eat more cake and biscuits and you won’t ever have to see that area again.
Sorry Lemon some of the Argy staff have been telling porkies. I think some have been vagasiling.

Oh yes Minerva The thyroid does wonders for the eyebrows. I look permanenty angry, or confused! angry But at least we don't have to pluck them.

TrendyNannie6 Sun 03-Jan-21 10:29:02

Snap coco51 same as me, pred and azathrioprine, good though no hairy arms or legs but never have had from young, the thing that gets me with under active thyroid is that hair at roots where parting is has gaps

MiniMoon Sun 03-Jan-21 10:15:36

Underarm hair practically gone, but the hair on my arms is growing longer and longer! I never had much hair on my legs, for which I was always grateful. I keep having to pluck ? my nose hair, and trim my eyebrows which are increasingly Dennis Healey (sp) like. Facial hair is kept at bay with tweezers and my little rotary shaver.

The thing I dislike more than the hair or lack of it, is the senile warts popping up on arms and legs.

That was a good laugh if it wasn’t all more or less describing yours truly. Hairs totally disappeared from legs and underarms which is great but I’ve never had so much hair detach itself from my head as this year while down below growth is rampant.
My daughter is supposed to warn me when chin hairs become over 5mm long but is now so used to them that she doesn’t notice and it’s left to the more reliable grandchildren to point them out. I had my thyroid removed getting on for 40 years ago and my eyebrows disappeared with it except for a centimetre long very dark thicket at the nose end. While I could see to do it I used to pencil the rest back in but I now choose my spectacles to cover, or at least distract from the absent 2cm.??

Teacheranne Sun 03-Jan-21 10:09:03

I was really worried when my hair down below started to thin out and disappear, I had no idea it was just due to my age! Luckily I’ve not yet got any facial hair but I keep a close eye out for it and am ready with my tweezers

Cambia Sun 03-Jan-21 10:05:53

Get an Epilady! I am now in command of all things hairy in just ten minutes a week. Mine even gets rid of whiskers!

Coco51 Sun 03-Jan-21 09:53:38

I have - but then I am on steroids and immunosuppressant medication!

Yep! The joys of getting old. If my hair thins much more I will be reduced to arranging the few sparse strands left like Rab C Nesbitt's comb over.

Moggycuddler Sun 03-Jan-21 09:50:27

Hair on head definitely thinning. Underarm hair all but gone. Rarely need to shave legs any more. Down below hair a bit sparser and grey/white now. Thankfully no whiskers on face though (at least yet.)

inishowen Sun 03-Jan-21 09:47:35

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all unwanted body hair could be relocated to the scalp!

Shinamae Sun 03-Jan-21 09:46:14

Hairy big toes here as well, my doctor said it was a sign of good circulation!! ?

crazyH Sun 03-Jan-21 09:46:05

Great post ?????

Lostmyglassesxx Sun 03-Jan-21 09:41:47

Yup
It’s a worry - where did my pubic hair go as it just disappears in
places
I have stubble on my lip !
Ok whilst I have my faculties but My mum who sadly passed away last month had a very hairy chin and it used to really upset her - in earlier years I remember her tweezing away by a window with magnifying mirro and now I know why !

Glad its not just me then Bluebellwould, I would love to have the thick bouncy hair my friend complains about.

My husband is the same Gardenersdelight I've resorted to using the dog's clippers grin

Galaxy Sat 02-Jan-21 18:55:37

I have always had hairy big toes shock

Gardenersdelight2 Sat 02-Jan-21 18:54:24

I know that feeling! It's the random sprouting ones on chin or brow.
Also said my OH hair is sliding downwards as quick as he looses it off his head the more hairy his shoulders and back are becoming !!?

Blossoming Sat 02-Jan-21 18:13:16

Thanks to an under active thyroid my eyebrows are now 2 neat arches that never need plucking or shaping. My underarm hair has become quite sparse, everything else seems much the same as before.

lemongrove Sat 02-Jan-21 18:12:41

Come on girls...get the Veet, razor, clippers out ( either that or go in for Fu Manchu type moustaches and beards) as for down below.....the Argy Bargy Bar staff go in for plaits with intertwined ribbons ( so they tell me.)?
