So, are you taking your decorations down today?

We took ours down on the 2nd Jan.
Couldn`t wait to see the back of them tbh.
If we didn`t` have our dd i wouldn`t bother with any decorations/c/tree.
Cards brighten our lounge.

Down since 28th. Like to get things straight to welcome the New Year. Nana was a Scot and the habit has been handed down and also to my children that the house must be ready to welcome New Year

Very reluctantly took ours down over the last two days. I always had a real tree but four years ago saw this fake tree at garden centre. Ullswater snowy with pines it was expensive but it’s beautiful. Putting it away yesterday was a struggle as it’s heavy and bulky but I love to see the house glowing at Christmas. I always have strings of lights around the house they are cheerful and bright through miserable months.

Started taking mine down yesterday and finished today. Have kept just a string of lights,that aren't really Christmas lights, round living room door as they give a warm cosy feeling in evenings. Another post said that it didn't really feel like Christmas this time and I agree. Let's hope that Cristmas 2021 will feel more normal.

Already down. Have been up since first weekend in December, took them down on Sunday. This is a bit of a throwback to working days, when I took them down the day before I went back to work following the Christmas break.

I've sort of taken down the indoor stuff but it's been tiring (end of Covid). I'm still in quarantine until tomorrow so outside will have to wait until then at least and longer if I can't throw off the fatigue.

I took the tree and the outside lights down on Sunday, but left the small nativity, holly and lights wound through the bannisters until tonight, hedging my bets.
Just remembered the cards, and the wreath on the front door.
The very expensive White Company candle will last until candlemas, probably until Martinmas in November,

Ours are all down.
I just wish I could locate the things I took off the mantelpiece to make way for the Christmas swag. ?

I only put up my tree and a few other pieces as no one else but me to see them! I always take them down on New Years Day, it goes back to when I needed time to clean the house before going back to work!

I took them down yesterday and the house looks so bare! Easier to dust and hoover though which was cathartic!

Tomorrow, as usual, except for last year when we had to zoom off to a dd at the crack of dawn since Gdc3 was on the way.

But I’ve got one set of warm white lights in a very tall umbrella plant - more like a tree really - which I’m going to keep, maybe not just until Candlemas but until the end of Feb, when
let’s hope ? this lockdown will be over.

Took mine down yesterday. Only the trees left to put away now, the boxes are waiting beside them. By tonight everything will be put away again until next December.

They are staying up until the end of this month, the more lights and glitter the better.

Started on 27th, rest came down on 2nd. This has not been a Christmas to remember with fond memories, and I was keen to turn my back on it. New Year not looking a lot better, I would like to hibernate for the next three months!

11th here, but would like to get back to normal, sort of reminding me of everything I missed over the Christmas period.
Perhaps make a start with DGS after school today.

I'm just the opposite this year. Usually I hate taking them down as everything looks dull and bare so leave up as long as possible. This year I took them down at the weekend and have felt better for it.
