I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Some woodworm artistry on a fallen log!

Beautiful Grey. Lovely, too, GrannyOwl.

I love this thread.

grannyqueenie Thu 18-Mar-21 23:01:18

Me too Bellanonna
Anyone else see a face in greyduster’s log? All these signs of spring, bring it on”. This little dried flower posy made me smile last weekend, especially as it was accompanied by a mini bottle of Prosecco and some nice chocs!

Enjoying all the images. I also can see a face in greyd’s log.

This tree can be seen from our kitchen and bedroom windows, I’ve smiled every time I looked out today.

Er, no!!hmm. This reminds me of my best friend who said she could see an image of her late husband in her downstairs cloakroom floor tiles. I couldn’t for ages and then I did and it freaked me out!

Greyduster Fri 19-Mar-21 14:22:10

Is it anyone we know??

Ellianne Fri 19-Mar-21 15:32:33

I feel like I'm living on the edge at the moment. This photo sums it up.

Greyduster Sat 20-Mar-21 14:59:16

Hope you don’t get gertivo, as my late brother in law used to call it, Ellianne!
A photo for the first day of Spring from me. I’m asking God not to let the pond dry up like it did last year☹️!

Ellianne Sat 20-Mar-21 15:04:27

What do you do with all the tadpoles Greyduster? I remember them in jars at school.

Greyduster Mon 22-Mar-21 22:57:41

Ellianne it’s not my pond. It’s one that was established in a small park on our estate. It’s quite a large pond but they dug it out so shallow (elf an safety) that a spell of dry weather will dry it up in no time! Unfortunately the frogs don’t know that! It’s what happened last year and the tadpoles died.

A moment of reflection in more ways than one today.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 23-Mar-21 12:44:31

The first small bouquet from the garden this Spring.

MiniMoon Tue 23-Mar-21 13:10:25

It must be Springtime, the garden lamps have come out of the shed.?

grannyqueenie Wed 24-Mar-21 10:02:16

Saw this on my walk yesterday, it just says “fragile” to me and matched my mood as I reflected over the past year. Much loss and sadness for so many, life is fragile and it looks now like the way out of lockdown is pretty fragile too. ❤️

Ellianne Wed 24-Mar-21 13:23:07

The beavers have been busy gnawing the trees by the river. I hope you can see their teeth marks. They have snapped the trunks off.

Aldom Wed 24-Mar-21 14:18:49

My granddaughter's rabbit.

Ellianne Wed 24-Mar-21 14:23:39

Are some of the photos not posting? We'd like to see the rabbit and grannyqueenie's picture?

Aldom Wed 24-Mar-21 14:38:09

My granddaughter's rabbit.

Ellianne Wed 24-Mar-21 14:40:54

That bunny isn't real is it? Very lifelike.

Aldom Wed 24-Mar-21 16:04:31

Oh, yes, he's real. Litter tray trained. Sleeps at the end of her bed. She's at University, aged 21 smile
