I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Interesting cliff erosion here.
I wasn't quite that close to the edge, it's the angle!

When you're dog tired and your eyes won't stay open and it's only 10 am.

Herons look completely out of place in a tree.

I wish you could all smell this beautiful white lilac in my garden this evening

Ellianne Thu 06-May-21 21:16:30

I think what amazes me, as an amateur photographer, is that a lot of the pictures on this thread almost seem 3D. You feel like you could put your hand out and touch them.

Ellianne Thu 06-May-21 21:17:28

Or smell them!

Greyduster Fri 07-May-21 10:00:41

That’s a lovely lilac May7. When we were out on Wednesday we passed a hawthorn bush in full flower and though the smell could never match a lilac, it took me straight back to my early childhood in an instant, walking in the lanes with my dad. I did take a photo but it doesn’t seem to reproduce well in small format.

Ellianne Fri 07-May-21 14:21:43

A host of pretty bluebells.

Aldom Fri 07-May-21 15:38:53

Sing a song of May time, sing a song of spring. Flowers are in their beauty, birds are on the wing.

May7 Fri 07-May-21 15:41:46

Oooh yes the hawthorn bushes look lovely when they are in flower. Takes me back to my childhood too .
All to often our council cut them back and we dont see them in abundance anymore
