I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Down at the river in the fog - but the cobwebs were stunning.

Your dog has the right idea, Ellianne - the margins were the easiest places to keep your footing!

Now the Christmassy decorations have gone, I've got my mother's silver rose bowl out again. Bought these roses on Thursday and they have opened up beautifully.

Newspaper and teapot (also inherited from Mum)* in the background because we're still having breakfast.

*the teapot, but not the newspaper.

NannyJan53 Lovely photo, what county are you in, your canal looks familiar.

Stunning views this morning. My beautiful valley shrouded in inverted cloud and the sun on the hills. Unbeatable.

Ellianne Sat 09-Jan-21 11:32:50

That is stunning MissChateline! Everything in one brilliant photo.

I adore winter landscapes - whether photographed or painted!

I've had many lovely walks with my grandogs around that meadow Ellianne. smile

I'm locked away until I get the vaccine (I've actually been locked away for more than a year now!) so I'm enjoying seeing the wider world through GN's lens.

A cold and frosty morning out there.

JackyB Sun 10-Jan-21 18:41:23

We were out this afternoon. I couldn't get over how blue the sky was.

NannyJan53 Mon 11-Jan-21 09:36:08

Aldom I am in the Black Country. That section of the canal is along Stourbridge to Kinver.

FannyCornforth Mon 11-Jan-21 09:44:32

Jan I've just seen your canal photo, it's beautiful.
As you know, I used to live very near the Nine Locks (down the Delph! grin)
I miss home sad

This was taken a few years ago now, but it’s a park across the road from our last house which was very good for sledging and ski-ing in the winter. Bit of a beggar when you had to pull the sledge back up again though. GS always wanted to be pulled up with it!

NannyJan53 Mon 11-Jan-21 11:01:40

Fanny that is literally 3 or 4 miles from me!
