1000 words, 1000 posts, let's get back!

Thank you all for the lovely photos. It's like a little peek into everyone else's life.

For the last two days we've been engrossed watching families of blue tits, great tits, greenfinches, robins, goldfinches, starlings, and blackbirds fighting over the feeders, with rows of young ones sitting on top being fed. I wish we had some pictures but they never come out well enough. No young nuthatches or spotted woodpeckers yet but they my still turn up.

Then on to Downing Street, The Cenotaph and Big Ben, finally minus the scaffolding.

At Downing Street we were held back as the gates opened and a large van was coming out. I asked the policeman who put the barrier in front of us as the van passed "is it a removal van?" (it was a catering company). As he moved the barrier to let us pass he said "are you disappointed?"

Aren’t the rhodis wonderful this year? This one had an amazing scent. You could smell it before you saw it!

In the middle of the woods on a walk near Kinver

Fanny They are padlocks with messages on them to loved ones. Usually couples have their names engraved in them. There are some in memory of lost loved ones too.
I have seen them on several bridges around the UK, although some have been removed from some bridges for fear of damaging the bridge.

Two views from our Hotel in Sorrento. DH and I were there from 6th to 13th May. We had a fantastic holiday and didn't want it to end.

I am one today, on my holiday. Time flies.

Some crochet squares I've been making for another grandbaby due in November. I did crochet at school but never learned how to actually start myself off. Thanks to 'Hooked by Robin' on YouTube I've finally learnt.
I'm also into 'Tunisian knitting' - crochet to you and me - which I also found on YouTube. I'm having a great time with it all!
