I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Ellianne and Aldom I always come to this thread via "Active" but it had slipped off the bottom and I was trying to remember which forum it was in. I finally came back to it via "I'm on" and that's when I noticed it was under "Games".

As people had been complaining (again) recently about the games threads filling up the "active" list, I wondered if they had actually arranged for them to be automatically removed from it.

It would have surprised me if they had done that - there are far more pressing matters to be tended to first.

Iris, in the restaurant area of the Westgate, Oxford. A stunning sight.

How lovely Aldom. It is soo cold here today, hugging the fire and it is getting dark already, not even 5 p.m.

My granddaughter grew this! She was worried Peter Rabbit might eat it.
(Good film by the way.)

This is part of a garden where we had tea and cake on Friday - I wish it was mine!

Aldom Sun 06-Jun-21 09:45:44

Super carrot. Will it be eaten? I loved Peter Rabbit One. My grandson recently saw Peter Rabbit Two. He loved it.

I remember my great- aunt, born in the 1880s, showing me how to make poppy dolls in the 1950s, with poppies from her garden.

As I can't get to France this year, I've made France come to me.

I visited a terminally ill relative on Sunday. These beautiful Iris are growing in his pond.

A rose from today’s NT walk. An odd one, the paths always went up and never down. How does that happen?? grin.

Some of the garden lights. These ones have a remote control with a selection of many colours.

Aldom Sat 12-Jun-21 11:06:30

MiniMoon I like your garden lights. Very pretty.
I planted this rose ten years ago when I moved to this house. It's called New Dawn.
