I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Nice lights MiniMoon. Can I ask where from please?

Greyduster Sun 13-Jun-21 08:23:15

My hollyhocks. Last year they had barely reached the top of the wall.

The sea from a different angle this time. My daughter took this one while I was looking after the children on the beach.
(Not sure I could balance on a paddle board with my phone in my hand!)

Wish we could grow hollyhocks greyd, no sooner planted than full of disease. Love the colour of yours. Not sure I could balance on a paddle board at all ellianne, wonderful image.

On a beautiful day like today you can see the tip of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)

Lovely photo, May7 - whenever we’ve been you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face!

Ha yes weather is very changeable. Weve been to the summit twice on nice days and not seen a thing because of descending clouds.

Had a day out to an NT place the other day. It was really too overcast for any decent photos but I couldn’t resist this solitary cygnet!

On Countryfile last night they were talking about entries for the 2022 calendar. The subject is Miracles of Nature.
They gave some really useful tips on how to photograph landscapes and flowers.
Perhaps someone form this thread might enter?

Some gunneras, just coming into their own, but impressive.

MiniMoon Thu 17-Jun-21 11:53:08

Different shades and types of poppy in our garden.

Ellianne Thu 17-Jun-21 13:19:28

Bees feasting.

cornergran Thu 17-Jun-21 23:44:07

Wonderful colours greyd. More bees at Tredegar House this morning and a couple of images from Dewstow Garden this afternoon.

Aldom Sat 19-Jun-21 18:14:10

I planted this clematis today.

May7 Sun 20-Jun-21 13:54:32

Growing wild. I followed my nose this evening. Just intoxicating

Kate1949 Sun 20-Jun-21 16:21:54

Stratford Upon Avon today. A bit dark and dank here today but at least it's dry.

Ellianne Thu 24-Jun-21 08:01:07

Another poppy picture inspired by MiniMoon.

May7 Thu 24-Jun-21 15:11:48

I just love those wild poppies in cornfields. I’ve collected the seeds many times but have never been able to grow them. Plenty of orange /yellow ones though

This corner of the park was covered in bees yesterday
