I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Lots of beautiful scenes - thank you all who post them.

Not so beautiful but continuing with the abseiling theme, this is the view from the John Lewis roof garden. The abseilers were, I think, setting up Xmas lights. ?

One of my Nerines. I love that they flower at this time of year.

A cascade of poppies at our local church. They come all the way down the wall and spread across the churchyard before scrambling over the wall beside the street. They serve as an amazing remembrance statement for the whole town.

Golden Autumn woods and a little water fall.

Autumnal visit to Buxton this week.

I'm watching the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. My Dad won the Standard Bearers competition for the Cumberland and Westmorland division two years running and proudly paraded tge standard in the Royal Albert Hall. We looked for him on the tv, but didn't manage to spot him. I think this photo was taken at Carlisle Castle.

A fitting image, MiniMoon. Those old sepia photos hold many memories.

We had a few days away last week revisiting the Cotswolds. Here are some images of Bibury, Arlington Row and the river on a very cloudy day. We used to visit regularly, memory lane for us.

Visited Tate Modern yesterday to see the Anicka Yi exhibition - highly recommend going. Huge globules bobbing around the Turbine Hall.

Tate

From in front of The Tate, view of St Paul's & the Millennium (wobbly) Bridge; The Shard taken from the bridge; and an 'oligarch' yacht, it was massive, trying to get into St Katherine's Dock!

We spotted this on a walk yesterday and had no idea what it was until a man came past and told us it measures the amount of water the tree takes up during the day, and loses in the night.

Rescued these from the garden yesterday before the promised high winds blow them away.
