Late yesterday afternoon.
Spotted these ivy leaves today in a local park.
One of my Nerines. I love that they flower at this time of year.
A November's day walk.
When little brother wants the upper hand.
A cascade of poppies at our local church. They come all the way down the wall and spread across the churchyard before scrambling over the wall beside the street. They serve as an amazing remembrance statement for the whole town.
I'm watching the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. My Dad won the Standard Bearers competition for the Cumberland and Westmorland division two years running and proudly paraded tge standard in the Royal Albert Hall. We looked for him on the tv, but didn't manage to spot him. I think this photo was taken at Carlisle Castle.
The 32nd pair of hand knitted socks I have made, I think I’m a bit addicted ?
Beautiful photos on here, some local to me in Wiltshire!
Dorset view week before last
Visited Tate Modern yesterday to see the Anicka Yi exhibition - highly recommend going. Huge globules bobbing around the Turbine Hall.
Tate
From in front of The Tate, view of St Paul's & the Millennium (wobbly) Bridge; The Shard taken from the bridge; and an 'oligarch' yacht, it was massive, trying to get into St Katherine's Dock!
We spotted this on a walk yesterday and had no idea what it was until a man came past and told us it measures the amount of water the tree takes up during the day, and loses in the night.
Ducks on parade!
Sun just setting across the fields, 16.30.
Rescued these from the garden yesterday before the promised high winds blow them away.
