I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Rainy morning at Tynemouth

Ellianne Wed 20-Jan-21 15:11:00

A very different day out there today. The sea foam almost looked like snow!

I’d really been missing enjoying everyone’s photos but hadn’t noticed the thread had started again must pay more attention!
It’s all gone now but a couple of snowy ones from last week.
Thanks for getting us going again. Ellianne

Now I’ve got total fish envy!??

MiniMoon Tue 19-Jan-21 18:44:23

Lots of fish Greyduster. Just beyond the bridge is a weir with a fish pass. We often see the salmon leaping as they swim upstream.
Here's a view fron the other side of the bridge.

Snowdrops peeking through in one of my pots. The garden is a mess at the moment as we removed a couple of trees that were becoming a nuisance, demolished a summerhouse and built a larger shed, replaced a gate and repaired some fencing. Then the tip closed before all the debris could be cleared.

The hellebores are out!
Sorry, it's not a great photo but the best I could do without actually lying down in a puddle!

A beautiful river the Tyne, MiniMoon. Very good fly fishing. That stretch looks very fishy!

MiniMoon Sun 17-Jan-21 19:39:48

The beautiful blue Tyne, taken on the only sunny day last week. We took advantage of the lovely day and went for a walk.

Greyduster Sun 17-Jan-21 18:20:16

The last of the snow - for now!

Ellianne Wed 13-Jan-21 14:25:45

The reflection on the water was amazing today. Like glass.

NannyJan53 Mon 11-Jan-21 11:01:40

Fanny that is literally 3 or 4 miles from me!

Greyduster Mon 11-Jan-21 10:02:54

This was taken a few years ago now, but it’s a park across the road from our last house which was very good for sledging and ski-ing in the winter. Bit of a beggar when you had to pull the sledge back up again though. GS always wanted to be pulled up with it!

Jan I've just seen your canal photo, it's beautiful.
As you know, I used to live very near the Nine Locks (down the Delph! grin)
I miss home sad

NannyJan53 Mon 11-Jan-21 09:36:08

Aldom I am in the Black Country. That section of the canal is along Stourbridge to Kinver.

JackyB Sun 10-Jan-21 18:41:23

We were out this afternoon. I couldn't get over how blue the sky was.
