Q: What is your favourite thing about lockdown?

Yes, I was 17 and he was the boss’s son. High summer, short dress, gin and orange (!) open car and dancing in the dark. He was Jewish so his family put a stop to that.

Yes, I do occasionally. It's a habit learned from my mother who used to give my gifts to her back to me on my birthday.

Have you ever fallen down stairs in public?

Not stairs (except at home) but have tripped on bad pavements and both times was helped up by lovely people.

Is there a fashion from the past which you particularly liked and would wear again if it returned?

Dresses with peplum waists-I made quite a few. But I’ve just looked them up and they’re already back-so now I just need the body!

When I married my much older late husband, I took on his inherited antique furniture. Some I like, some I don’t. Four years after his death, I’m contemplating selling some of it, there is too much.

Having to swelter under factor 50, sunglasses, a hat and long sleeves to protect my fair Scottish skin and sensitive eyes. Am genetically designed to live under cloudy skies in a cold northeasterly wind.

Gosh, loads! Not fast food, I've never had a McDonald's or KFC, but things like pot noodles and crisps.

Yes, I love swimming. Don't go much lately. I was brought up by the sea so swimming was easily available.

Do you have an Avon lady? Or did you? I don't suppose they are allowed to do the rounds now due to Covid.

I do! She only started up last Summer. I pay online and she drops the stuff off. She's a lovely Polish lady - I even got a Christmas present!

It was Jo Malone Basil / mandarin etc. But I have been researching a book and found Mitsouko. I have obtained a small sample and it is lovely.

Apron if it involves cleaning liquids e.g. sprays/bleach etc. Not otherwise.
