Good afternoon from a cold but sunny North Cambs, welcome back Marydoll It's so good to know you are on the mend.
Stay safe everyone and keep well .
Good Morning Friday 24th April 2026
Allege rape in Epsom by asylum seekers
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , but dry and cold outside here in brackley this morning , a clear sky above with a half moon .
Due to temperatures not going above freezing locally according to forecast , will stay in and maybe await post for reading materials .
Take Care,
Mick
Good afternoon from a cold but sunny North Cambs, welcome back Marydoll It's so good to know you are on the mend.
Stay safe everyone and keep well .
Good luck with your car Georgesgran. After 5 days of jump starts. I bought a new battery yesterday!
Popped in to welcome Marydoll back and ‘on the thread’. Seeing your DS must have been an ‘every cloud’ moment!
Had to pop out first thing - car was completely frozen - hasn’t been started since Christmas Day.
Take care everyone. X
Just popped in to say lovely news that Marydoll is home. Take care all.
Sorry Mick & GM'ers, to say Good Afternoon on your lovely "Good Morning" thread.
It's very cold & sunny in Cambs.,
Good to see you posting from home Marydoll
. What a wonderful dose of medicine in the shape of your DGD, (even if it did make all our eyes water.)
Take care Folks.
Good morning all from a sunny south Wales. Don't often post but read daily and just wanted to send Marydoll my best wishes and glad she's home. And best wishes to all with illness.
Meant DS.
Two degrees here in the Sefton coast where we very seldom have snow. Wonderful news of Marydoll being home and visit by DD and DGD. Best wishes to all. x
Good Morning all from very bright and very cold Harrogate
DH waiting for a telephone appointment with the hospital which delayed his dog walkies, then shopping from Morrisons arrived early, it was like a madhouse for a bit.
I, too, loved your new word Scentia
I got a shock yesterday, DH and I were discussing pillows when a 3rd voice butted in!! It was Siri, on my watch!! I must have accidentally pressed something.
Well, xmas tree is in it's box, waiting to be escorted to the attic, along with decorations and excess Xmas cards. Set my Roomba in the room to clear the floor.
Got my art club this evening, might draw my picture in advance (if I get time) - doing nothing takes up a lot of my time!
Glad to hear you are home Marydoll now do as you are told and take care! When I was in Harrogate District Hospital I was amazed how the staff coped. They had set aside the private wing for new patients, i.e. single rooms - no telly, though. This was while they found out if the patient had covid or not. Hope you feel more yourself soon.
Take care and keep sell everyone
Oops and welcome to * Ah2000* too.
Welcome Nicksmrs46
Morning all from a cold and frosty South Notts, by 'eck it's cold. Wish I'd taken the car out for its weekly spin yestydough - it's catching on - but didn't bother - I hope it warms up shortly.
I'll just laze about with a spot of housework and the usual knitting and reading.
Hope you continue to improve Marydoll and best wishes to all with worries and illness.
Marydoll, so pleased that you are back home and that you saw your son and granddaughter. xx
Happy anniversary to you Grannyowl and happy birthday to your DD Taichinan. I've gone out and cleared my path and the pavement of snow and put salt down and feel more like myself. Good to hear that you are home Marydoll. Maybe your DD will take a tummle to himself as my gran used to say.
Good morning everyone from a frosty, misty Glasgow.
Marydoll, when I reached the end of your post, I could have wept along with you as the image of your son and your darling Hollie had arrived to stand in the garden filled me up.
I will be keeping an eye on you to ensure you behave. ?x
My best wishes for a brighter day to all with the hope that we all find a much needed something to lift our spirits.
Good morning from a grey wet Angus coast. The snow missed us yet again. Marydoll so pleased you are home safe after your traumatic experience. Hospital is nobody's holiday destination of choice, but at the moment it sounds a nightmare! I like your colour-co-ordinated ensemble for the exit march. And so lovely for estranged son to be there with your dear little granddaughter too. Now stay warm and cosy and rest.
Baubles it's my DD's birthday today too - she's 47 and the baby of my family. Where does time fly to - I'm sure I was young last time I looked!
So sorry to hear of your young friend with Covid, GG.
Nothing happening round here - same old, same old as they say. Have the best day possible everyone ???
Good morning everyone from a bright, chilly but dry north Kent - raises the spirits just to see and feel the sun.
So glad to read that Marydoll is safely tucked up in her own bed and that you had a visit from DS and GD; that must bring the colour to your cheeks if nothing else!
Glad you found your daffs BlueSapphire; nothing like their cheery colour to brighten the day. Your posts always make me laugh EllanVannin; would never have linked a nature reserve and graveyard together, but think I will in the future!
It is our 43rd wedding anniversary today and we should have been starting out on a three month cruise circumnavigating South America and the Falklands; instead we shall be circumnavigating the local park and staring out to sea from the promenade! Never mind - always another year.
Hope everyone has a good a day as possible. Keep warm and stay safe.
Good morning Mick and all his followers.
We have snow in Suffolk! Only just - the faintest dusting, just a bit more than frost.
After a really late start yesterday, then the news from Washington, we couldn’t get to sleep and were still awake at 3am. Of course, that means another late start today! Humph!
We are watching Hill St Blues on More4. Very gentle compared to modern dramas. Anyone seen London Kills too?
Lovely news from Marydoll!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Grandmafrench ??.
It was a predictive text correction that gave me conniption, a word that has been very apt this past year!
Good morning from a white and gloriously sunny north of Scotland. A walk in the woods was invigorating to say the least as it is bitterly cold, but lots of animal footprints, deer, rabbits and squirrels. Happy you are home marydoll and mention of seeing your son and granddaughter brought tears to my eyes. Keep on keeping on everyone.
Wow it’s a busy GM thread this morning. Will post and then look back and read all the posts
My morning didn’t start well, had slept badly in DD’s bed, had forgotten to set the alarm so was a mad rush to get DGSs up and ready for school and get myself ready too but we got there and they weren’t late
Then off to Tesco for the weekly shop which have once again taken over from DH to minimise his risk. I cannot believe the amount of people still wearing their masks under their nose!
Home now and shopping put away so I can sit down and have my first cup of tea if the day
Good wishes to all, stay safe and keep warm
Morning all , it’s 1c here in East Hertfordshire, cars outside are covered in a layer of frost or possibly snow , too cold to venture out yet , if it’s slippery I won’t go for a walk as my feet are still healing having had them both operated on and still a bit wobbly !
There is however a smattering of blue sky and sunshine so after days of grey cloud and drizzly rain it feels good to look out at bright weather.
Stay safe everyone and have a good day
Frosty foggy start in Manchester today. Freezing inside too as waiting for service on boiler this morning, so have to switch off for engineer. Today of all days, hope he soon arrives!h
We'll pop out later when the sun shines for our walk.
Lovely start today with a chat with D D and D GD on her 16th Birthday in Melbourne having a great time at Crown Hotel for the night (our gift to her). Normally we would be there now, so hopefully next year!
We did see our son and family on Christmas Day which was great! Games and karaoke on Zoom with our Aus family. Counting our blessings. Stay safe and well everyone. xxx
I would just like to say - what lovely lovely people there are on here. I had a worry about my darling grandson, and everyone was so helpful - so thank you. xx
