Good Morning Monday

Good morning from Durham. Much milder this morning - nothing planned. Woken in the night by the burglar alarm going off - a spider on one of the sensors! Made tea and went back to bed, but couldn’t really settle, napped a bit and now have a thick head. Will sort out my car insurance today and the exH of my friend has text to say he wants to speak to me. Freaked me out a bit, but she’s been estranged from her son since a funeral in May, so I think it’s about that. She’s at a loss, so hope we can help.

I come back with happy news.

My second Covid test has come back NEGATIVE, so it looks as if I have escaped unscathed after my hospital stay. One less thing to worry about!

I thought it would never be light as it was so dark an hour ago.
It's not as cold so expect we'll see rain before the day's out, though at the moment it's not too bad at all. At least it's not dodgy underfoot which is the main thing if you're out and about locally.

Just been looking at some photo's D in Oz emailed this morning. Everyone looks so healthy and fit and considering D will be 60 in less than 2 weeks she still looks like a girl ? It's the good life there obviously. Her and her H are househunting in readiness before they retire. Thank goodness they've all remained virus-free there.

Another chicken dinner today to use up this big bird. The cats will help too I really enjoyed my dinner yesterday it went down a treat.

Since tuning in the TV I've come across programmes I'd never heard of. One being E4 I think it is and on Saturday I was watching Married at First Sight--Australia, a cringeworthy show but can be addictive when you follow the people involved.

I suppose I'll have to do some dusting at some point just to show there's no ill-feeling. Nobody is going to notice either.

Those daffs are beautiful and a sign of Spring. We should all have a vase of them to brighten our day.

Good news Marydoll I’ll catch up with reading everyone’s posts later but just wanted to say Good Morning before I have to go out into what is a beautiful sunny morning in Portugal but still only 5.5°C it went down to 4°C last night.

Lots of good wishes to you all from a cold and frosty morning here. Yesterday was such a beautiful sunshine that the dog was willing to come for a walk. Lots have people had the same idea and went for a stroll. I was pleased to sees that all the little streams around here had filled up with water again. For 2 years they had completely dried up. Nothing exciting planned for today apart from getting the ironing board out. Maybe a what`sapp call to the family in England. Keep well and take care. x

Urmstongran, I would say you should get your car back.It will definitely be safer for you than using public transport and as your step dad is in your bubble will be much safer for him if you need to take him anywhere.

Urmston I never knew there was an 'is this allowed' thread my DD will be very pleased as last time I called her she said "Oh Mum, just do what you think is right, you are not an idiot" Mmmm I might be though!!!!!
I would say it is most definitely essential for your DD to return your only form of safe transport, what if you get called for vaccine 50 miles away like my friend has!

Morning everyone. I hope you are all keeping well. It's dull here in Sherwood but milder. I too have a mammogram booked for the 18th. The breast clinic is a building separate from the rest of the hospital. But l was reminded of how close the nurse will be to me. I will go but l can't say l'm not anxious. This will be my last one unless l request one in the future. I didn't realize l was due another. My last one l was on crutches as l had broken my ankle that year. My youngest sister is off to a private hospital today for an endoscopy it will be under the NHS but was fast tracked so that she wasn't waiting months. Hope you all have the best day you can.

Good morning all. Raining here at the moment but it’s forecast dry after lunch so I’m hopeful of some outdoor exercise this afternoon. I like walking in the rain but fallen leaves make it slippery underfoot. On the other hand it keeps all the visitors away!

I am amazed how many people are stil ignoring The Rules ,it’s frightening.?. Stay at Home. They are for everyone not just those who are shielding.Having said that we now have our vaccination appointments for tomorrow- Hooray, but not having left the house for weeks or seen anyone, I am feeling definitely twitchy regarding the reported queues and hanging around outside.

Good morning everyone from a cold and grey Devon, not raining yet but something is on it’s way according to the sky. I’ve already dealt with paperwork first thing from new solicitor for our move back to Sussex this morning so looks like she’s more on ball than solicitor we sacked last week ?. More worried about my DB in Florida who now has his DD living with him who has just caught COVID from the wards where she is frontline nurse. He’s been really ill in recent years so is very much at risk, told me yesterday he was giving me heads up as he is obviously worried and looking after her. My imagination has been running riot in the night... do I go over to him if he’s ill etc (I’m at risk myself autoimmune disease etc)....if he’s taken to hospital etc etc....oh well, I suppose I shouldn’t jump the gun, so upset because we were actually going to see him last November and had been so looking forward to it but obviously didn’t, been ok mentally so far but seem to ‘have lost the plot today sorry’. Must get some shopping in, hate that job, must start packing up too. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a grey, very wet North of Scotland. Does rearranging kitchen cupboards count as exercise? I hope so. Nothing exciting planned, I have done the Monday chores, laundry, bed changed and some admin. I plan to make a pair of curtains this afternoon. That doesn't mean I will actually get started but it sounds good. I am going to have my coffee and read the thread now. Have the safest day you can folks.

Due to have our 2nd vaccination in two days time. Surgery just phoned to cancel and said we would be contacted before 12 weeks are up. They phoned last week to confirm that they were going to do it this week but now cant get supplies. I had heard that the Pfizer jab was prescribed for a 3 week booster shot. I can see NHS is desperate to immunise more people.

Good morning all from very windy and rainy North Lancs.
Haven’t been shopping for a while but I need milk, bread and fruit today so I’m going to venture out and hope the only droplets I pick up are rainy ones.
Our local supermarket is very particular about masks, sanitising and counting customers in and out so it feels relatively safe. ??
The rain hasn’t stopped exercisers today. I’ve counted 38 people walking up or down the hill this morning, despite the weather.
