I have been very limited in my title as I don’t want to be rude
Laurence Fox has now bought himself an exemption lanyard off Amazon so he doesn’t need to wear a mask I believe he hinted at anxiety although I m not sure if that’s his full reasoning He also held a party I believe at his house in November
This man is an utter disgrace

Lot of ifs in that post, callis.

The point I'm trying to make is that a person's public persona isn't everything. I think people might be jumping to conclusions based on insufficient evidence.

Ok, Baggs
But do I want to be sued for stating the obvious?

I think the evidence has been public and damning and he certainly attracts the wrong kind of publicity.

Perhaps his career has hit the buffers and he is shouting "Look at Me"!

Men can be bitchy too, iam. I'm using it in an ungendered way.

Callistemon Sun 17-Jan-21 16:13:10

He can't help his looks but his behaviour can be criticised surely?
If he comes out with racist, bigoted comments, calls someone a paedophile, claims to have bought a lanyard from Amazon so he doesn't have to wear a mask (if he is exempt his doctor will give him an exemption card) and is a danger to others then I think it is fair to hold him up as a bad example isn't it?

If I was his mother I'd be thoroughly ashamed of him.

The bitchiness biscuit could easily be shared by the endless h and m threads. Just saying. And even if you think they are silly or too woke etc at least they are not advocating breaking Covid rules !

Is he breaking covid rules, lucca?

I thought some people were exempt from mask wearing for health reasons.

Iam64 Sun 17-Jan-21 16:10:07

I never use ‘bitchiness’ because it is often used as a means of shutting women up. The criticisms of Fox here seem accurate to me, it’s a discussion.

Callistemon Sun 17-Jan-21 16:05:59

Something about the eldest getting everything first and the youngest being the spoilt baby
NfkDumpling I'll ask him. I'm sure he'll agree
???

His mum died last April

Kandinsky

Have you ever thought his Mother might be on GN?
Imagine reading all these hateful posts about your sons appearance and that he’s the neglected child.
Some of you really need to take a look at yourselves & ask why you’re so spiteful.
Comment on what he says yes, but ripping his appearance apart is just disgusting - the irony being, I bet none of you are exactly Miss World.

Well said, kandinsky. This thread takes the bitchiness biscuit.

Several foul mouthed on Gogglebox

FindingNemo15 Sun 17-Jan-21 13:24:55

Saw Laurence Fox on Celebrity Gogglebox - he has a foul mouth, so different to his famous relatives.

A Twat on Twitter- who come across as a spoiled brat , who just cant get his own way. I was wondered at first if it was just a publicity stunt, as poor Actors are not in work - not so sure now? but let face we are talking about him?

As far as the Lanyard is concerned here is a story of those that push the boundaries.

I'm a Health Care profession , in our clinic a few weeks ago , a more than capable chap turned up for clinic, no mask on he had on one of these Daisy Lanyards hanging around his neck.
We told him he was not coming into our clinic with no mask on, he waved a Lanyard at us said he was exempt? Funny how he could get himself from his home, to the Hospital into our clinic , but not be able to put it on to come in for Treatment . We told by us 'No Mask - Your Not coming in' - He put it on, did he really think we are that stupid to not know someone who is genuine? what a load of Bull-Dust !

I have agreed with Laurence Fox on several counts in the past, particularly with his views of whatever is the latest woke nonsense, but I am certainly not with him this time.

Obviously none of us know anything about his health, mental and physical, but to make it publicly known that he is allegedly ‘exempt’ from wearing a mask is just irresponsible attention seeking at its worst.

GagaJo Sun 17-Jan-21 12:34:24

Lemsip, notoriety is Laurence Fox's way to make a living now. He would love us talking about him.

Iam64 Sun 17-Jan-21 12:33:20

Kandinsky, it matters not a jot that other ‘celebs’ broke lockdown rules.
EllenVannin I agree with your comments about his physical appearance. His face looks ravaged. Makes me wonder what in his lifestyle is contributing to what seems to be declining m.h,

lemsip Sun 17-Jan-21 12:27:41

All the hatred for a person you don't know.
he would find some of the posters loathesome too were he to meet them!
enough is enough I think!

To Bluebell, now you know what is thought.

LauraNorder Sun 17-Jan-21 12:21:08

These people in the public eye, who spout their ridiculous views, are very dangerous as they do influence many who can’t think for themselves.
The worst thing about social media is that these idiots can run freely out of control and yet if we censored it we would lose our hard won freedom of speech.
What’s to be done.

NanaandGrampy Sun 17-Jan-21 12:00:52

You're right Kandinsky Rita Ora did exactly the same thing, threw a party , posted about it and then tried to apologise. I'm sorry but that just doesn't hold any water. Its not like you can accidentally throw a party is it :-)

GagaJo Sun 17-Jan-21 11:57:32

Oh my goodness NanaandGrampy, that is an amazing insult. I agree with Simon Hoare.

Kandinsky Sun 17-Jan-21 11:56:58

He’s not the only high profile person to have broken the rules.
Rita Ora celebrated her 30th birthday with a group of friends!
Kay Burley - another one. ( an intelligent woman supposedly)

NanaandGrampy Sun 17-Jan-21 11:46:40

I loathe this man !

This is the man who threw a party during a lockdown period and boasted about it on Twitter. THEN he apologised!!

Well of course he did , the idiot got busted !

I believe he was fined £10,000 . Should have doubled it.

This whole mask thing is appalling. It casts doubt on those who genuinely cat wear a mask. I believe Simon Hoare MP called him...and I quote " a nuclear powered prick2 and a 'selfish loathsome tool" ...... and I cant say I disagree !

^Unloved Middle Child Syndrome. Attention seeking.^

I've never heard of that!
Hope my middle child doesn't hear about that, he's my favourite son.
grin

The unloved middle child apparently doesn't have a role in the family. Some psychiatrist came out with it as a theory a few years back. Something about the eldest getting everything first and the youngest being the spoilt baby. So the middle one doesnt have a role. The theory doesnt really work in this case as he's the middle one of five kids, but in a large busy family he may well have learnt to get attention by saying outrageous things.

Kandinsky Sun 17-Jan-21 11:39:34

Laurence even.
