Grandmafrench it’s so sad when we have to say goodbye to a loved pet. He was beautiful. thanks

Puzzler61 Wed 03-Feb-21 19:30:53

I’m so sorry you have lost your sweet Nouba. Extremely sad news Grandmafrench . Although it hurts right now, better to have had his love and lost it, then never to have had it at all.
RIP Nouba. flowers

‘Evening All’
?

An enjoyable afternoon socialising with our ‘support bubble’ stepfather. We enjoyed a couple of wee drams and felt all the better for it. As he said, family & friends - is anything better? What more do we really need?

Fish & chips for tea when we got home. Our chippy downstairs is back to being first class (new ownership whilst we were in Spain apparently). So much so, I’ve written in a little card, telling them so and I will drop it in Tomorrow just before I meet a friend for a walk. I think it’s nice to let our independents and their staff know what a great service they’re providing.

I’ve spent the last hour reading and supporting MawBe on the thread railing against her ban. Sadly, I’m not convinced it will do any good but one has to try.

Hope everyone in the kitchen enjoys a calm and peaceful night ahead. x

‘Goodnight All’.

Nannytopsy I’ve seen it, my focus is generally on veg, but I grow sweet peas, sunflowers and would like some sort of daisy to encourage ?, any ideas please? Jealous of greenhouse, I’ve ordered one, no delivery date yet.

Grandmafrench Wed 03-Feb-21 18:58:58

Darling Nouba
2004 - 2021
RIP to our little man
So loving, So loved
And we'll miss you always

Nannytopsy Wed 03-Feb-21 18:28:16

Jax do you receive the Sarah Raven seed catalogue? Now that really encourages over buying of seeds!! I have started peppers and sweet peas, and now need to think about the other stuff for our first ever greenhouse!

BladeAnnie Wed 03-Feb-21 18:21:22

Good evening Puzzler - catch up with you tomorrow x

Puzzler61 Wed 03-Feb-21 18:02:30

Good evening Duncan, you beauty and your mum BladeAnnie.

BladeAnnie Wed 03-Feb-21 17:59:39

My photo didn't send!!

BladeAnnie Wed 03-Feb-21 17:58:34

Hello everyone - small person has left so back on my my mum's lap grin. A quiet night ahead I think!!

Puzzler61 Wed 03-Feb-21 17:47:36

If Fern is sharing her time between two caring homes she is indeed a canny cat soop.
Kitchen friends - I cannot take credit for the etched, illuminated gin bottle as it was just like that when I bought it. The gin was delicious. Seasonal Clementine flavoured.
Nannytopsy what a pleasure to see your early blooms. I feel the first ones are special - a promise of better days to come when Winter turns into Spring. It’s all the more anticipated this year .

soop Wed 03-Feb-21 17:19:54

Jaxjacky I too though that it was a sea creature.
Puzzler that is such an elegant bottle. Was the gin delicious?

Thank you, baubles, I must admit that being reconnected is happy making. I've also had a very long cat over the phone with middle son. Never fails to plaster a smile on my face.

Special spring blooms. Thank you, Nannytopsy

It appears that Fern, who has been absent for well over 24 hours, may be a cat that also visits a couple eight MILES away across the farmland. The gentleman has shared a photo on the local website. I would swear on oath that "his" and "our" cat are the same. She is described as being slightly nervous with a hearty appetite. Snap! She hasn't visited Whitehouse today. It's thought that, due to the sloshing rain, she is hunkered down some place. The mystery deepens. hmm

Farewell ye well until we meet again tomorrow. I shall keep you updated regarding the feline with a paw in several camps. smile moon

Callistemon Wed 03-Feb-21 17:10:09

☃️ ?

soop Wed 03-Feb-21 17:07:07

Callistemon Teddy would most certainly get the joke. grin

Jaxjacky Wed 03-Feb-21 16:50:37

Puzzler61 at the first brief glimpse I thought it was a jellyfish! Very pretty and the pleasure of emptying the bottle, shame I loathe gin. Oh, spring Nannytopsy a promise of better to come. All my seed potatoes are chitting on the kitchen table in egg boxes, tomorrow I’ll sort out my seeds. I’m dreadful for over buying vegetable seeds, dislike most shopping, but show me a seed catalogue the basket is beckoning. It was useful last year as I had a stash when online stocks were very low, so I could share mine around. Chilli already made for dinner, an easy meal tonight.

baubles Wed 03-Feb-21 16:15:07

I just popped in to say that I’m delighted to hear that BT have at last reconnected you soop, you really didn’t deserve that hassle.

What a happy photo of a lovely wee boy and his snow friend. I do wish I could share some of mine but DS has a very strict no photos on line rule and I only share, with her express permission, the few pics which DD has already posted of her lot. Sigh....

I’m eyeing up DH’s whisky collection on the dresser and thinking perhaps I could copy your idea Urmston when he next finishes a bottle. It would brighten up that corner, I’ll encourage him to drink up. grin

Nannytopsy Wed 03-Feb-21 16:13:57

Forgot the photo!

Grandmabatty Wed 03-Feb-21 16:13:41

Just a quick visit. Puzzler61 that's very talented. I have a bottle with lights in it but it's not as pretty. I can't get warm this afternoon. I think it's because the wind is from the East. I hope everyone is keeping well. Have a good evening.

Nannytopsy Wed 03-Feb-21 16:13:15

It’s Spring! The first little iris is out today ?
Hope everyone has found something to smile about today. There are butter biscuits with pink icing and a chocolate button on the table. DGD’s choice of decoration!

Puzzler61 Wed 03-Feb-21 15:52:31

Love Urmston ‘s idea. I’ve saved bottles from M&S Xmas clementine gin liquer.
They light up when you press a button under the base and are a decoration in themselves whether full, or like mine, empty. ?
