I just thought it woule be good to post any on-line bargains we have found so others can take advantage of the great offers out there. So post a link it would help if you could add info about sizes as well.
So there's this shirt on Jigsaw for £29 in all sizes up to 18

Petra ?

Lisagran Wed 20-Jan-21 15:16:12

That coat looks lovely, Petra - I have a very similar green one, from Adini. Have you bought from that site, though? I see they’re based in China and many of those companies have a bad reputation for quality.

I like the shirt on other people - the tall, slender variety- but l do not come into that category so it would not suit me.

I've had a few nice bargains from the Joe Browns sale, though. I have bought a maxi skirt and dress and a beautiful dark red coat with a hood and cape effect on my shoulders. As it is a fitted top and flared bottom it helps minimise my rather too generous hips.

janeainsworth another ?.

Note to self, I do not need another coat.......

harrysgran Wed 20-Jan-21 16:06:36

Winter coat from Debenhams reduced to less than half price from their Maine range it's warm and cost but light weight

harrysgran Wed 20-Jan-21 16:07:42

Cosy smile

Greciangirl Wed 20-Jan-21 16:17:35

Not bought anything new in the sales, as already have a full wardrobe of half worn clothes, so not worth buying anything else as nowhere to go to wear it.

Doodledog Wed 20-Jan-21 16:22:58

Good idea for a thread.

I can't justify another coat either, although I love janeainsworth's. Such a great colour.

I am living in comfy jumpers and leggings, so can't possibly justify buying clothes just now, unless anyone knows of a good sale on 'loungewear' that would look ok on Zoom?

Have bought some lovely wynciette nightdresses from Pure Night. Never heard of this retailer before but stumbled on them as was having trouble getting my size from others. They give points on purchases too and £5 off initial order. Packaged beautifully and free delivery. Very pleased with quality.

That’s great you had your jab! Is the coat site ok then?

Marydoll & Doodledog Re how many coats is enough. I had a lightbulb moment many years ago now, when a fashion columnist in the Telegraph wrote something along the lines of, a coat or jacket shouldn’t be thought of as just something to cover up your outfit with, but as part of the outfit itself.

I took this advice to heart & it’s my justification for my, er, coat collection.

I think my favourite is a black velvet one from Boden which is probably 25 years old. It rarely sees the light of day now, but I still love it ?

Florida12 Wed 20-Jan-21 21:46:59

I bought a slow cooker/crock pot of Amazon for £14. I have really put it to use with soups, stews

Marydoll Wed 20-Jan-21 21:59:27

jainainsworth I cannot bring myself to reveal how many coats I have. ? We are simpatico.

Every colour, every length, lightweight, heavyweight, inbetween weight, evening coats, fur coats etc, etc! ?
I too have a black, Boden velvet coat from many moons ago.

janeainsworth Wed 20-Jan-21 22:06:20

Marydoll We’re obviously women of taste ???

Doodledog Wed 20-Jan-21 22:08:37

I too have lots of coats. When I was working I needed them for rainy days, warm days, warm days that looked like rain, cold days, cold rainy days. I needed coats to wear over dresses to look smart, over trousers to look casual, over trousers to look smart, and so on.

I now need somewhere to put them all, and haven't left the house since March, so I can safely say I've got enough blush

janeainsworth Wed 20-Jan-21 22:16:55

I hope it won’t be too long now before you can go out again, Doodledog. It’s been a long year, hasn’t it sad

Doodledog Wed 20-Jan-21 22:18:37

Oh yes. I hope so too, thanks smile

Shandy57 Wed 20-Jan-21 22:21:20

I've just treated myself to a very nice tunic from Gudrun Sjoden, I hope 33 madder red is like the second photo of it, not the first!

Longdistancegrnny Thu 21-Jan-21 00:10:19
