Talking to a lady recently who told me that her computer had been hacked again
“This is the third time I’ve had to re-name my cat!”

Hope all is as well as can be expected. Except that Covid spreads unchecked.
A young lady somewhere in the UK was being interviewed on TV News today who works in the mortuary area of dealing with the consequences of the pandemic and she was clearly upset, but very concise detailing the nature of her work. I felt really sorry for her and of course all the people involved in managing this terrible problem.

It puts to shame some of the tennis “stars” here for the Open, whingeing about their locked-down hotel accommodation. They were told what to expect and if they didn’t know, they were told often enough!
One female was complaining of a mouse in her room and showed a video clip to prove it; it was shown a second time (2 mice?), but is now accused of feeding it in order to produce further evidence!
A squabble began to emerge over who was going to foot the bill for all the costs of the 3 lock-down hotels said to be 50 million dollars, or thereabouts; either the taxpayers or Tennis Australia, but now our Sports minister appears to have knocked that on the head saying it’s TA. I think the players funded the costs of their many chartered flights.
With today’s prize money and money “earned” for just appearing they can’t complain.

Leicester City! What can I say!? They soon spoiled the look of the EPL ladder by goimg top, but City have games in hand. All they need to do is win them! tchgrin

Don’t want to put off intrepid GN visitors, but our Grandson working Queensland Rail had to step in and use a defibrillator on an elderly gentleman who had collapsed during an altercation with a young lout.whilst they were travelling towards Rockhampton from Brisbane. Police off-loaded the lout at the next stop and an ambulance took the gent. to hospital.
Corey is OK and we’ll hear more about it when he gets home next Saturday; he’s on a 7 day working trip up North. Never a dull moment!
That virtual GN trip has disappeared from the radar and I’m guessing Covid lockdown regs. have grounded the flight. Perhaps 2022 ? tchhmm

The forecast 38C for the weekend hss been wound back to the low 30s; now we are getting into the garden watering season plus the birdbath which gets emptied every time our magpies decide to take a bath.

Hi Rufus, you don’t mention the cricket! City play Villa tonight, should, I emphasise should, be a doddle. I hope the gentleman your grandson helped was ok, good lad for stepping in.
It’s rained all day thus far and set to continue, that’s January for you, but not really cold, we have sleet forecast for Saturday..brrr.
Those tennis people need to get a grip, disgraceful behaviour and embarrassing for their home nations, makes me cross.
Anyway, must get back to...oh, not a lot.

Take care ?

Oh Rufus it looks as if this year’s trip Down Under won’t be happening anytime soon! This will be the third year in a row that I won’t be able to visit your part of the world. I believe all your family is there nearby (so to speak in Oz) though you do mention a granddaughter over here? Lets hope the vaccinations will make a difference. Weather not helping either. Take care x brewwine cupcake
