Staff on a covid ward have created an
‘inspirational wall’, where they scribble their hopes and prayers.
One wrote: Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.’
Have we got any quotes or sayings, we find helpful? Especially in these difficult and trying times.
Mine is ‘be stoical’, which I say to myself if I’m ever tempted to feel sorry for myself. It’s an old fashioned word and reminds me of what people years ago had to deal with and pulls me up by my boot straps.

"Life is a creeping tragedy. Therefore we must be cheerful."

and

"The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven..”

I don't know who said the first but the second is from Paradise Lost. I had it on my wall throughout university.

A man who never asks a question is a fool for ever.
