"Upside down, feeling the slipstream in my face, at about 3000 feet above the ground." In other words, doing aerobatics at a relatively low height in a Tiger Moth (which has an open cockpit, allowing one to feel the wind in one's face). To be specific, I'd be half-way through a looping manoeuvre and (assuming I'd done the first half correctly) upside down but still in good bum-contact with my seat, rather than hanging in my straps. Few better feelings in this life.
