Maybe exactly where you are, maybe somewhere else.
I’d like to be in Far North Queensland!

On the beach in Barbados, rum punch in hand.?

Hetty58 Tue 02-Feb-21 00:15:15

midgey, good idea! I can switch on the electric blanket and just pretend to be on a hot beach!

NZ, on the beach, resting in the shade. An impossible dream, though, as (even if I were brave enough to travel) their quarantine hotels are booked up for months!

In the summer of 2019 I sat on a chair on a Cornish beach with all of my grandchildren vying for cuddles with me, I have a precious photo of that moment that I look at wistfully until the time comes when we can do it again.

I’d love to be in my own kitchen cooking a roast dinner for my AC, spouses and 4 grandchildren. I’ve been rattling around in this house on my own for nearly a year and would love to have my 2 sets of grandchildren squealing and chasing each other round the house while I’m cooking. Then to finish off a perfect day the 4 adults could go for an evening out together and leave me to snuggle up with the children.

I would be sitting outside a bar in Pisogne, by Lake Iseo in Italy. with an espresso and and ice cream. Haven't been able to get there for 10 years now.

Florida, winter sun, lovely food, beautiful places to visit.

Witzend Mon 01-Feb-21 19:41:40

Floating in the lovely warm Caribbean, with someone about to bring me a beer. Or a rum Collins, I’m not fussy.

Or else back in dd’s garden in a hot summer, with little Gdcs happily playing in the little swimming pool they set up for them last year. Maybe even in the pool with them, playing at being Big Bad Granny Shark. With someone (SiL) about to bring me a glass of wine.
Cheers!

EkwaNimitee Mon 01-Feb-21 16:58:40

In a certain town in Spain where DH and I wintered for 20 years. His ashes are there now and I missed a visit last year for obvious reasons.

Redhead56

Our cottage on Anglesey not a sun worshipper. We have not been there for ages it’s up for sale now. We bought it for retirement but grandchildren changed our plans.

Waves Redhead56, we live on Anglesey. We seem to have escaped the worst of the bad weather here. Sorry to hear you're having to sell your cottage.

Sat chatting with my Dad in his little flat. He passed away 6 months ago and I'm missing him dreadfully. (sorry to be on a downer) {sad}
