Good Morning everyone ?♀️ from S. ?? where it’s colder today but dry and sunny. Have just been playing ‘Win-A-Vaccine’ on my iPad......no chance, no appointments anywhere. Maybe I’ll just frame my Government letter and give up on the whole idea.
Wishing you a wonderfully Happy ? Birthday, MrGinny....go a bit mad, have 2 slices!
See lots of snow is imposing some limitations on those who have important business away from their fireside. Be careful chaps, stay upright. Thick socks over shoes or boots, if you have no traction?
Snow can’t affect life on the farm sheep, can it? No wonder you dress like the Michelin Man....keeping warm is vital out there, but it’s very tiring I found - when we had lots of animals. Sometimes easier to just be outside than grappling with the whole dress/undress palaver and the endless sharp changes in temperature. When I had fed and watered, collected eggs and organised everyone, I used to hang out with my woolly women in the sheepshed for a while. All that huffing and puffing (not me ?) as they munched their hay soon raised the temperature and lifted my spirits on winter mornings. You must love the life you have - in spite of the heavy paracetamol costs. ? Take care - those beasts are so lovely but definitely unwieldy!
Mick glad to hear you’re going to be monitored after your meds. change. Maybe give yourself a chance to adapt and have the hospital happy with your progress before you fully resume your old routine ?
Forgetting that the bed has not been made up with fresh linen until bedtime ? is one thing that makes me crazy, baubles. Maybe it’s the riotous and exciting lives we all lead which can distract us so easily these days. Or maybe not?
Carrot soup and soda bread for lunch. Awaiting a large delivery of paint from the UK. Thanks to the Logistics companies not being anywhere near ready for the 31st December deadline...or even now, we were given a delivery date of 4 or 5 days and we paid the carriage charge. So far, so normal. What fun to wait almost 3 weeks whilst our paint was held to ransom in Marseille (we found it eventually), until the French customs collected from us the small extra charge of £230 !!! The paint shop and the actual international carrier have shared that cost because no one gave a thought to what might happen after 31 December when they accepted our order and took our payment. I am now waiting to see whether my tea (from Ireland) is delivered with a demand for money from the Postie. If so, that has to be the end of our buying English goods. A sad day for us because although most of our purchases are made here, I do occasionally feel it’s lovely to buy from somewhere like Lakeland. No more, since no one has any idea as to the end cost.
Hoping Mum to be and that big baby (our son was 9lbs) will be delivered safely this week. To everyone feeling low - from a bit despondent to pretty awful - sending warm wishes and the strength to deal with your struggles today. Take care of yourselves, be kind and patient with yourselves and everyone else, and give yourselves a massive pat on the back for coping and getting through it all. We won’t let this plague win, will we? We’re Grans and we’ll cope.
Stay safe all. ???????????????
