Some news about our H o S
RF family want their 1969 documentary to be taken off air. The Queen was talking in it about a governor that looked like a gorilla, in one little clip, of docu seen on twitter.

Queen doesn't want her various shares and their values in companies made public too embarrassing. And lobbied in the 70s to be made exempt from new law. She has millions in off shore accounts.

P Charles land owner lobbied to be exempt from new leaseholder legislation that would have allowed homeowners to buy the land their property sits on.

And when people from the Duchy die with no living relatives P Charles gets the money, with other landowners around the country money goes to the treasury

Then there is Andrew

The 20,000 Sandringham Estate gets millions in subsidies

Queen gets her Wendy house refurbished to her own specifications including a new thatched roof.

Meanwhile in other news a little boy stole a tin of soup because he was so hungry, never mind.

Ohh for goodness sake!!!!!!!!!!!

It's getting tacky now---he said/ she said. Good Heavens, " Much Ado about Nothing ". Talk about digging a hole, it's ridiculous.

Thank goodness the Duke is coming along alright. Another stent or two probably to keep him going. Well done that man.

Does she mean the family or does she mean the whole role of a constitutional Monarchy, the institution of State, the Commonwealth? I've no idea Callistemon. It was the tiniest of snippets from the interview, designed to whet the appetite no doubt. Difficult, when things are taken out of context, so that's why I for one will be fascinated to hear the whole story on Monday.

"Much Ado about Nothing ". That is very astute Ellan when the whole comedy is about trickery! grin

Anniebach Thu 04-Mar-21 10:46:45

It could have all been so different if she had been allowed to walk in front of William and Kate, sit on the throne for
The state opening of parliament and hold the queen's hand on
public appearances .

She did say she was going to hit the ground running but has a change of mind and is hitting the Queen.

I’m not going to watch the interview, primarily because I have no respect for a woman who has ditched her entire family except one, and now managed to ditch her husband’s entire family. And in addition is making money from the name of the RF. The interview is not paid, but it will get her world wide fame. That’s what she wants, otherwise she wouldn’t be doing it. Money and fame. What she doesn’t want is privacy, otherwise she’d run away from an interview like this. Nor does Harry otherwise he wouldn’t have done the bus top interview with James what’s his name.

Just wait until everyone finds out about Andrew Windsor! It will put this little nonsense into the shade.

Mollygo Thu 04-Mar-21 10:55:44

Anniebach Yes, how much better it might have turned out if only you’d been there to advise them.??

Anniebach Thu 04-Mar-21 10:57:25

A need to launch a personal attack yet again , how sad

Callistemon Thu 04-Mar-21 10:58:28

Accusations of bullying should be investigated. To claim this is perpetuating falsehoods is disingenuous and a red herring. It is true to say that there was a high turnover of staff in their household and other people's lives/careers may have been devastated if they were, as is alleged, bullied and felt that they had no option but to leave.

Bridgeit Thu 04-Mar-21 11:01:51

Yes personal attacks ARE sad, that is why some of us would like them to stop be on Gransnet or the media etc on M&H

maddyone Thu 04-Mar-21 11:02:47

Whitewave
I have no respect for Andrew either, but he’s not courting the media. If Harry and Meghan didn’t court the media, this discussion wouldn’t be happening.

Oh please, not another thread that loses the plot.

Lucca Thu 04-Mar-21 11:05:57

What is the plot ?!

Ellianne Thu 04-Mar-21 11:08:51

Shakespearean drama and Hollywood intrigue Lucca?

I meant a thread that reduced itself to personal attacks.

Callistemon Thu 04-Mar-21 11:11:22

Lucca

What is the plot ?!

If you find it please let me know, Lucca!

Lucca Thu 04-Mar-21 11:12:30

Oh you mean personal attacks on each other ?
Anti Prince Philip comments are therefore not personal attacks. And neither are anti Harry comments . Have I got that right ?

Grandma70s Thu 04-Mar-21 11:12:30

She need to learn some manners and restraint. Who on earth does she think she is?

I don’t have strong opinions about Harry, and I don’t know much about Andrew.

Lucca Thu 04-Mar-21 11:13:13

If you find it please let me know, Lucca!

It’s probably hiding somewhere with my marbles and my will to live..........!

Lucca Thu 04-Mar-21 11:13:50

Oh and my will power!

Mollygo Thu 04-Mar-21 11:14:49

A need to launch a personal attack yet again , how sad

I really hope you don’t mean my post Anniebach.
I was just agreeing that M would have undoubtedly been happier if she’d had a more impressive role, but no one realised what you so aptly pointed out.

Anniebach Thu 04-Mar-21 11:15:03

I have no wish to derail this thread but need to ask Bridgeit

Why is criticism of the members of the royal family acceptable but not of the Sussex’s, I accept she has admirers , but their need to silence those who do is an attempt to stop free speech surely?

Anniebach Thu 04-Mar-21 11:16:22

Mollygo I am so sorry, do forgive me, x

hollysteers Thu 04-Mar-21 11:17:38

Good to hear that Prince Philip has had a successful procedure, but interesting that he was moved from an expensive fee paying private hospital to a National Health Hospital.
Does that mean we are now paying for his treatment?

Bridgeit Thu 04-Mar-21 11:17:39

If that is a serious question :The plot is the main thrust , topic , theme, subject etc, etc etc
Or it even a piece of land for growing or building or burying .
PerhapsI should stop now :
I am definitely losing THE PLOT
