Susan that is so hard. ? Condolences to you and your family. I'm having a non day as I had rather unpleasant side effects from Astra zeneca dose. I couldn't stop the chills last night and was frozen til after two. Then insomnia and a sore/dead arm. Today I still have the sore arm but also a cracker of a headache. It's a positive thing as it shows my immune system is working but it's not great! Soop if men had to have mammograms as often as women, they would have researched an easier way! I hope everyone has a good day.

Luckygirl Sweet peas are in my top three favourite flowers. They will enjoy being raised in readiness for a new home.

Hi soop, a few weeks ago now but we lost a family member and a friend to Covid within the space of twenty four hours.
The next day we heard one off my nieces best friends had killed himself leaving behind a young partner and one year old son.He fell between the cracks of financial help and couldn’t see a way forward.

Hope I haven’t upset anyone with this post.We had a couple of tricky weeks but with the whole extended family has been supporting each other.

We are back to looking after the children which is a great pick me up.

I am contemplating sorting the wardrobes. Far too many clothes unworn or no longer fit. The Charity shop in Campbeltown remains closed. I would lurve a kindly person to help me make a proper job and assist me with disposal. I'm happy to give the items away. I would sooner someone who needs the clothing has it. Selling on ebay no longer appeals to me.

I tackled the aforementioned (Fri 12-Mar-21 16:38:57) hank of Aran wool last night and wound five large and several smaller balls, weighing a total of 300 gms. It took forever and my right arm and wrist are quite achey, but those balls of wool do look satisfying. I should get quite a few Aran hats from them![smug emoji]

Planted some sweet peas in covered troughs yesterday - all I have to do is to remember to take them with me to the new house when I go. First time growing from gathered seed from last year so I await developments.

A late visit from me. Been out and about a bit today ready for incarceration until Tuesday other than a pass out for a covid test tomorrow. Odd don’t you think that it’s OK to break self isolation to go for a test?

We’ve had a relaxing and restful day. Contractors have been on site in the development to replace the decking in all the communal areas and today they were outside our front door, so we decided not to get in their way and confined ourselves to barracks.

I rang a couple of friends this afternoon and spent an hour altogether, having a lovely catch up. One lady is our neighbour in Malaga. She said it was a gorgeous afternoon there with a temperature of 28°C. Wowzer! Mid-March too.

Hello to all, my activity earlier this week means I have no jobs to do, allotment is off with the squally showers. I had a long phone call with my friend earlier, one of their dogs died a couple of weeks ago, so she’s still a bit sad. I spent too long browsing Facebook wondering why people advertise stuff with descriptions like ‘a few stains’, (children’s clothes), or ‘needs a good clean, not sure if it works’. I have nothing against second hand, oops, apologies - recycling, but convinced some can’t be bothered to dispose of their stuff properly.
Anyway, my husband is fidgety, wanting to build the greenhouse, keeps disappearing into the garden with a tape measure. We have agreed to wait until the two replacement panes of glass are delivered, he has read the instructions...before he starts, that’s new!

The Kitcheners must be the kindest bunch - doesn't matter if you don't turn up for regular eating and drinking - you always get a warm welcome and endless kindness! Good luck with your move. It's a nightmare to downsize but you'll be pleased as punch when it's done. You just have to work out how to keep going in the meantime ?!?!?!?!?!

NannyT I'll have you know that my French dustbin smells not at all! This is possibly because I hose it out regularly and we have TWO refuse collections per week and ONE recycling one. Possibly this has ruined your happy memories of nasty French niffs? Hope you'll be able to be reconnected before too long - I'm sure that there are still lots of places in France where seafood leftovers lurk for more than a sensible time. ?

If I trimmed a hedge, it would look like a roller coaster. I'm looking out of the study window and the line which my DH has cut is superb. No idea how he copes since the hedge is much taller than he is. The evening clouds are apricot, the skies are blue, the birds are having a ball and there's a gentle wind. Each evening I say that I will stop putting out food on the bird table but each evening I do it. The starlings make me laugh with their morning antics and the cooing of the doves is so lovely first thing. Maybe I shall keep going until the sack is empty?

I've dried and ironed lots of laundry today. Tomorrow, maybe a picnic ....or maybe, seeding the lawn. Ooooh! Such difficult decisions.

TOYA and hoping that the coming weekend will give you some joy and positive thoughts. Good weather and good news must be on its way, surely. We shall hope.

Hello to everyone in the kitchen today, luckygirl like everyone else has said you’re very welcome, it’s a lovely place to be. Good luck with the house move, it sounds like everything is progressing well. We’ve thought of downsizing but haven’t done it yet, mainly because we have young DGC who love to stay over (when allowed) and family who live a distance away and like to come and visit. So we’re staying put for now but who knows for the future..
Its been a day of sunshine one minute and cold sleety rain the next minute here today, so not much good for drying the washing. I was going to stay home today but DD2 messaged this morning asking to meet up for a walk - I don’t like saying no as I never know if I’ll be asked again! So that changed my plans for today, it was lovely seeing her though.
Your lunch sounds like it was yummy nannytopsy a lovely Friday treat - and why not! As it’s Friday I’ll be enjoying a glass of wine later if anyone fancies joining me ..

muse Is the problem connected with Bipolar? If so, I've had experience of living with someone (not *Mr Soop*) with that condition. It is very taxing and distressing for both the sufferer and anyone who cares for that person.
I also think that as N&G suggests, a visit to your son's GP, could help to give him the space he needs in which to recover from this latest episode.

anno The wind has certainly gathered momentum. I like to sit in the window and watch the waves crashing on the shingle. So far, there has been no damage.

When we journeyed to Glasgow, two things in particular dismayed me. Countless uprooted trees and litter in the laybys. Why do folk think that it's okay to leave rubbish? What stops them from taking it home and putting it in the bin?

I'm late today. Chipped a couple of temporary fillings and had to visit the dentist for treatment. My tongue can now relax. I've been driving myself silly by poking my tongue in the jagged gaps. We also did a wee bit of shopping for a friend who was unable to leave the house.

It is time to log off as I've to empty the washing machine.

I hope to be able to spend more time with you tomorrow.
