Beautiful full moon tonight and a clear sky. Just back from a short walk with my little dog. Hope everyone has a pleasant start to the weekend. I've left some yellow and purple crocuses in a jar at window for a wee cheery view when you pop in

We went for a lovely stroll in the sunshine today and upon our return a friend rang to thank us for the flowers we had sent. She is recently widowed and today would have been her husband’s 83rd birthday - hence the flowers just to let her know she was in our thoughts on a difficult day. She had just settled down on her own to raise a glass of sherry in his memory, bless.

Spicy Chicken & mushroom rice is almost ready. No alcohol for me as it’s not Sunday ....

Sad to say I'm no skater - a Sheffield United fan (the Blades) who are rooted firmly at the bottom of the premier league. Unless a miracle comes along I think we are championship bound for next season

Doesn’t the weather make a difference? Lots of cheery messages and talk of gardens. We had a visit from a cock pheasant today, which was a surprise. He has been named Phergus. He ophten sits on the phence. You can tell we need to get out more!

Puzzler61 I am the kiss of death to any indoor plants, I’ve tried and tried, no good, so I’m full of admiration. No gravy soop apologies, baked beans with lashings of brown sauce. I’ve spend a while today sorting out pots and seed trays, plenty of pots, but new need trays now on order. Itchy fingers to start sowing, but one forecast has us down for sleet in 2 weeks, patience required, as always. Cottage pie made, to be consumed with cauli, carrots and peas later.

Duncan is too pretty to be a boy cat BladeAnnie. Are you sure he’s not Duncanina? ?
We’ll be having gammon, peas and potato wedges tonight and
Mushroom penne sounds tasty.

BladeAnnie Duncan does as he pleases. Good boy! We are awaiting the arrival of Fern. She may be reluctant to call during the banging and drilling that is going on outside. The builder will leave shortly. I wouldn't mind guessing that she's waiting up some nearby tree. She's in for a treat. Mr Soop bought some delicious new pouches of mixed fish and poultry and meat today.

I am feeling a tad weary. Have sorted umpteen bookshelves and ironed more bed linen and blouses etc. No bike ride this afternoon. I'm pooped.

My love to you all. Especially those of you with health concerns and other worries. I shall raise a lovely glass of G&T to your good health at nine o'clock precisely.

Just popping into the kitchen to say hello to all you good people. What a beauty you have there Puzzler - I always admire your flowers and plants . We got my mum to her hospital appointment without dramas along the way thankfully!! It's been a lovely spring like day - I'm really looking forward to being able to see friends and family in the garden. I certainly won't take anything for granted any more and be thankful for the small things in life. A simply cook recipe is on the menu tonight - creamy mushroom penne which we always enjoy. Virtual hugs all around and please stay safe

Yes it is a strange word Soop I have psoriatic arthritis but the psoriasis is a bit like eczema it comes and goes.
We had lunch in the garden it was lovely to be outside.

Grandmabatty I attempted to cut my toe nails yesterday. I managed to mangle the big toe nail. It's sore and close to bleeding.

Yiayia All that I know about psoriasis is that it's a strange word and an irritating skin disorder. I have had Chicken pox. Slathered in a pink lotion and told not to scratch. As if.

Mr Soop made the most marvellous fish and chip supper last night. After I had demolished all the food on my plate, he said, I cooked too many chips. Would you like some of mine? So I ate his leftovers. My waist band was tight, so I changed into my pj's. The will power of a flip-flop.

Urmstongran The reason why I am late today is because I've been sorting our bookcases. My knees were creaking as I climbed the steps to the upper shelves. I've shifted a few pounds of dust and fluff into the bargain.

What a stunning morning, but our longer range forecast is predicting sleet in a couple of weeks. Not surprising, easy to get a false sense of security this time of year, especially gardeners, keen to sow and plant, I’ve learnt the hard way. Having said that, I’ll be sowing today or tomorrow, but to bring on indoors. Hopefully the sun will improve your skin Yiayia4 I don’t know much about psoriasis. Puzzler, I have Amaryllis envy. I had a fabulous red one a year ago, but cut down all the leaves and killed it off. I won't make that mistake again. My GD, who has recently become a house-plant fanatic, gave me a peace lily for my 80th birthday. It's flourishing but the white bracts are few and far between. Some come up looking white and then turn green! What am I doing wrong?
