N&G The sooner Sam has that cyst removed, the better he'll feel and so will we. It's awful knowing that he has to put up with the ongoing discomfort. We'll all be rooting for him. Please tell him so.

kittylester pleased the roof is finally fixed, I’d be tempted to wait a while too, needs some sunshine on it.
I went up the allotment today, squelch, squelch, near slipped over, we need sunshine too. I have a chicken to prep for roasting later, I’m going to try a rub on it for a change.
Not daffodils and excuse the mess, deliveries to put away, but one of the gerbera dropped in the vase and made this pretty in the sun a day ago. Pleasant evening all.

A good result, Hellogirl1 When we love animals, we do our best for them. Our Fern has been and gone twice today. The sun is shining. She's wandering in the woodland. No doubt that she'll return later this afternoon. It pleases us to care for her in whatever way we can.

kitty and Puzzler Golden daffodils cannot help but lift the spirits. We walked today and commented on the vast blankets of snowdrops. I didn't have the camera. Alas.

Nannytopsy Yay! Jura is indeed a favourite tipple of ours. Served with a splash of water. It's the Scots way. Jura is there before my eyes. We look directly over to the Peaks of Jura.

Hellogirl when Tara was alive she also had to have many teeth removed about three years ago. Like yourself I could not believe the cost- it would have been cheaper for me to have mine removed.

kitty has the woodwork dried properly because I am aware that the problem has been ongoing for ages now. You do not want to plaster and paint and then find mould. As you can read I am a qualified builder!!!!!

The daffodils are beautiful- they are too expensive here-yes I know I am Scottish and that has some bearing on the subject.

Your daffs look very pretty in the blue jug kitty. Part of the joy of having fresh flowers is picking the best receptacle to display them in.
Also glad to hear you have a waterproof roof at last.
Hellogirl Pimms can be sweet (diluted with lemonade - 6 parts Pimms liquor and 5 parts lemonade) or if you dilute with a slimline tonic instead of lemonade it is sharper and less calories.
Although everything in this kitchen is calorie free of course! ?
I would recommend you load your glass with sliced strawberries, ripped fresh mint leaves with crushed ice.
Drink through a straw and savour ? It is like nectar ?

Hello, I`ve found and ordered a new oven, being delivered and installed on March 1st. The grill fell off again yesterday.
Mia has an appointment with the vet on March 1st, I decided to bite the bullet and damage my bank account for the operation the vet says she needs to have her teeth removed, hopefully to cure her gum infection. The cost is going to be £250 for the op, plus £20.98 per tooth, then the cost of painkillers on top. I`m hoping she hadn`t got too many teeth, she won`t let me in to count them.
I`m thinking of the Panaches and anyone who`s sad or ailing, but also TOYA.
Is there any Pimms left? I`d like to try it, never had any, so will I like it? I like port, don`t like sherry, and like my wines sweet and sparkling. Not that I partake very often you understand.

Hello everyone.
A greeting to all, the Panache’s are in my thoughts as is everyone else with poor health, family problems and just general ”downness” having been there I know how hard it is.

News I forgot when posting last, I have a new grand puppy.
Seen lots of videos and photographs but only distantly in reality.
He is gorgeous and named by my youngest GS, Kevin, we have all got used to it now.
He is a lovely, happy and good puppy.

I had rain coming in through my GS’s bedroom ceiling, I was traumatised, fortunately a local roofer came round the next morning and it was a single broken tile instead of the full new roof I anticipated, it cost me £85, phew!
We still haven’t had the ceiling done, we tell ourselves it needs drying out!

I am being measured up, not personally you understand, for a new garden gate tomorrow, I am having one higher than the present one.
Molly may object but it may keep stray cats out.

It is a nice day here today, I hope you are all having a decent one and you enjoy what you can.

Nannytopsy I only drink whisky with green ginger or ginger ale so save the lovely malt for others. I have hot cross buns, fresh from the Tesco delivery so still warm. And new choccie biscuits in the tin. I'm about to cook sausage,black pudding and haggis with a poached egg for lunch if anyone fancies something.

What a shame for young lad NannyT . Its why here we have very few rules but they never change. We tend to get far better behaviour than their parents do simply because the children know what's what. I hope the little chap wakes up less anxious.

Very late in the kitchen tonight. Thank you for the kind and thoughtful messages about Mya. After 3 days of her not wanting to eat the new dry food (wheat free) I found Harringtons Hypoallergenic Grain Free Chicken Dog Food and bought a 2kg bag today. She's had two meals and not turned her nose up. Then I read your post grandmajet .

Sent a text to my good friend (300 miles away in Sheffield). I've heard today she'd had a bad reaction from the vaccine and ended up in A+E. Back home at the end of the day with medication. They found she had a high heart rate & irregular heart beat. Not caused by vaccine. MrM has the same but didn't get a reaction like that. I do suspect he had different vaccine from my friend.

Off to bed now. Very tired.

What excellent advice, Casdon. My understanding is that it's excellent food, both wet and dry, with lots of variety for special problems. Apparently Pork & Potato is recommended and others for sensitive stomachs. Contacting them direct for advice is reputed to provide all information and questions answered. Good luck, muse. Glad to hear that Sam is o.k., and good luck N&G - especially G, for his vigil and new sleeping arrangements when necessary!

Just arrived in the kitchen, with a bottle of Jura, if anyone fancies a small tipple. After 45 minutes of calm reasoning with a wound up 7 year old, I needed one! He struggles with going to bed alone ( despite DGD in the same room here) and worries too much for a young lad. Theirs is a house of many rules, stringently applied, and I think he struggles to remember what has been introduced this week. He was snoring gently when I left him. ?
DH has his vaccine this morning! So far, so good ...

muse I don’t normally post on this thread, but noticed you are looking for some dried dog food with no grain, egg or dairy - have you tried Burns Free From kibble, which meets the criteria? My spaniel thrives on the ordinary adult Burns, but they do a whole range of specialties as well for different dietary issues. Hope you sort out something that works for your dog.

We tried an inflatable doughnut but in ten mins Sam worked how to get that off. We also tried a t shirt but it ends below the wound site so we’ll try the vest and see what we can do.

Grampy has bravely volunteered to sleep with Sam for the week? ( rather him than me ... Sam is a snorer !)
