Good Morning Everyone,

Otherwise stay in and realx today.
Take Care,
Mick
Oh dear , what an awful post! Sorry everyone. ......
Good morning Mickand everyone from a wet and windy Oxfordshire, dog took one look and backed away from the door and went onto DHs bed instead.
DD2 is back with us again, her knee op is soon and she has to self isolate from tomorrow, pre assessment was yesterday, so hopefully the results from that will be ok, Covid Test next weekend then the op.
I feel bad that we can’t visit her but hopefully she will only be in Hospital for 3 days, then she has to isolate (from us too) for 7 days after she gets home. Then next year she will need the other knee done.
If only they could fix the pain in her hands too, Osteo Arthritis is a real problem for her, and it’s hard to watch her trying to walk and trying to do simple things with her hands, plus her kneecaps are in the wrong place. Anyway, my worrying about it won’t make it any better, so I’ll say have a good day everyone. Hope all those who have the blues soon get their mojo back.
Good morning Mick and all. It's a grey day on the Angus coast today, and a touch more windy than breezy, but it's mild, thank goodness.
Nothing on the cards again today - just some washing and ironing and some pottering to prepare for imaginary visitors! But tomorrow is going to be exciting as I have to go down to the town for a dentist's appointment and while I'm there I shall collect a prescription from the chemists and also pop into the butcher's. I shall feel almost normal!
Sorry you're feeling gloomy Grandmattie, but take heart from Ash's lovely post to you. And so glad to hear that Iris's op was successful.
Lovely for you that your DH was able to join in your Wednesday zoom Ash - it must have made the miles between you disappear for a while. I love that he donned his bow tie for the occasion!
I'm sure you must be looking forward to your staycation in the lambing shed sheep and thanks for the pic of your expectant ladies. You're in for a busy time!
My goodness, some of you grans are young! No wonder you have so much energy Scentia! My oldest grandson is 29 this year and his dad is the same age as you. I'm finding that a strange concept, that both my sons are old enough to be grandparents. I hadn't thought of it like that before!
Have a good day everyone and I hope the sun shines where you are, if not in the sky then in your hearts. ???
Good morning everyone from a gusty and wet east Fife. Nearly time to get the summer clothes on it’s become so much warmer.I had a bit of a feverish night last night my dh got the gun thermometer out all okay no temperature he just likes pretending
and I feel wonderful this morning might even try to make scotch pancakes I made crepes yesterday with lemon and sugar delicious my dh had two the size of a large tea plate he loves homemade baking
Good morning all. It has been wet and windy in Polmont but it's dry at the moment. I have to drive to town to pick up my new specs in an hour. The rate of infection has risen a lot in our town which bothers me. I don't know when I'll get my vaccine. ? For Grandmattie and Cherry. I hope you both feel better. Apart from the trip to the optician,I have no plans. Yesterday was a dull day as my usual Wednesday WhatsApp chat didn't happen. The forecast isn't great so a day pottering inside is on the cards. Have a good day all.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I’m not sure what the weather will be doing in South Yorkshire this morning - I’d like to see two forecasts the same for a change! At the moment it is uniformally grey but dry. We were out in the garden yesterday doing a few early spring jobs, but it’s too early to be doing much out there as the soil and the lawn is still very wet and spongy. We need a long succession of dry days......
Sheep your ewes look very grateful to be in their new quarters! You certainly have your work cut out! Love your daily reports.
Have a good day, folks, whatever it holds.
Good morning from mid Essex where it’s dry and sunny at the moment. Nothing much going on here today, apart from an online exercise session this morning and hopefully a walk later.
Wishing you all as good a day as possible.
Thank you Marydoll.
GrandMattie a few days in the doldrums is normal for most of us, it’s horrid, but passes. You’re useful to me, as one of the early birds on here I look forward to your posts with your wonderful needle skills and thank goodness you opened up when Mick was poorly as this thread is my first port of call in the mornings. ?
Good morning Mick and all his followers.
West Suffolk is damp again but there is drier weather on the horizon for the weekend. The sun is out at the moment, lighting the dark clouds.
There was a very strange noise last night, almost a bark, which we eventually identified as a barn owl. We have seen them about, which is such a treat for us ex city dwellers.
Seed sowing in the greenhouse today I think, while husband continues to potter in his shed.
It appears the surge testing for our bit of Suffolk will not reach this village which is reassuring.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Good morning from a rainy Black Country.
I have been having dizzy spells since Tuesday, and spent yesterday morning lying down. Still feel odd, and dizzy, especially when I move my head. This happend about 3 years ago, but only lasted a day. Hoping it eases off today.
Still waiting to hear about my jab. I am 67 and have heard of so many younger than me having theirs.
Ordered online for my DGD's a baking kit, for them to make cupcakes with Terrys chocolate orange inside. Will give them something to do and a nice treat after
for ^Cherry
No real plans (again) today, probably start another book.
Wishing you all a good and safe day
Lovely post for grandMattie, Ashcombe. You are right, grandMattie you are important ?
This pm issue is a frustration! I've pm'd people but am sure they haven't received them, although I've received several identical ones from the same person ,Susan I have tried to reply.
Good morning Mick, morning all from rainy South Lanarkshire, apparently it was a very windy night but I was oblivious to it.
grandMattie
these are for you. You have lifted my spirits more than once. This will pass.
I love your tales from the farm sheep, as someone else has said, it’s such a useful life. I’m paying more attention to the sheep in the fields as I pass by.
I was out for a couple of hours dog walking yesterday, had a fair old blather with a total stranger and felt the better for it. I don’t have any zoom get togethers and don’t really speak to anyone other than DD so it’s good to remember how to chat.
Another day of not doing much, but a day closer to seeing the family.
Wishing everyone a peaceful day.
Good morning everyone. It's grey, drizzly but a not unpleasant 8°c in the Gower.
I've posted so intermittently since the turn of the year but I do still think of you all, I've just been having so many bad seizures I've stopped being able to think straight and have spent a lot of time sleeping.
I'm pleased that Iris has had her latest operation and is recovering on the ward grandMattie ?
Sending a hug to Auntieflo and Georgesgran ?
Great to hear that so very many of you have had your first vaccine and that some, like Pantglas are looking forward to having your second ?
❤️ to you all
Good morning mick and all from Inverness where it’s a grey start to the day but not raining - yet!
Pleased to hear Iris is doing ok after her op Grandmattie but sorry to hear you’re feeling down ?
Nothing much to do again today, I did a big shop yesterday so the fridge and freezer is well stocked. I’ll be going for a walk somewhere, just to get outside and some fresh air. I always enjoy my walks and try to notice something different each time.
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?
Good morning from Shropshire.
grandMattie,so pleased to hear Iris’s operation went well.Wishing her a speedy recovery.
I agree with others that you have a purposeful life. You are a wonderfully supportive grandmother to Iris and her sister.
I think too often we feel we have to be more than we are but being there for family is actually a big deal.Your adult children and grandchildren know your door, well your phone line at the moment is always open to them.?
Have a good day all.
Good morning, its wet and wild here in Glasgow, but the good news is that its 8°C.
Today I plan to do nothing! That was the plan yesterday, but as the best laid plans etc. I'm still a bit yukky, to say the least.
For the first time in a year, we had an electrician in and I was a teeny bit nervous, to say the least.
When we moved here twenty eight years ago, my two friends ( friends long before that) across the road and I got security lights installed. Everything now needs renewed, so we are having lights installed under the eaves. We did a fair bit of renewing a few years ago, when we built the extension, then lockdown came. However, we noticed a dark spot, where it would be easy for me to fall and as I have been also waiting for months for DH to fix the light at the door, I asked the electrician to put in a new one as well.
The Ebay queen's work was completed and it looked great last night.
Later last night the phone rang, it was the Ebay queen alerting me to the fact that there was a fire engine outside my house! Now you know that I do like a man in uniform! ?
There was certainly a lot of curtain twitching, I can tell you.
The first station is a just few minutes along the road from us and we told my friend that they had spotted her house, lit up like Blackpool illuminations and thought it was on fire! ? We still don't know why the firemen were here.
My son also arrived, which was a shock. He seems to be regretting his actions during the the summer and is softening, but I am extremely wary still.
I won't bore you with the details, but any Catholics reading this may smile at the fact that his visit involved Click and Collect ashes for Ash Wednesday! In fact there was a fair amount of click and collecting going on in the cul de sac!!
I love to hear about you all going to the market for eggs, flowers etc. We have nothing like that here, even before the pandemic and I do love a good market!
GM, I'm sure you will feel better once you hear how Iris is. As for EV, I do know HQ have been "busy" again, one poster is having an enforced break, perhaps EV is keeping her company.
Thinking of all our friends on this thread, who are finding life incredibly tough just now. Always in my thoughts and prayers. ?
Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Temperature due to reach double figures later. I'd prefer crisp and sunny than mild and damp.
Thursday night is Jay's online quiz with the family, otherwise another lockdown day of not much.
Tried to send this privately but it seems that PM's are still not working. ?
I’m sorry you’re feeling a bit low, grandMattie, which isn’t surprising after this long Winter of nothingness. Although the vaccination roll out lifted spirits, we still have some way to go to achieve anything approaching normal life.
In that time, you have been an absolute stalwart, both on Gransnet and for your family, especially young Iris who seems to have inherited her grandmother’s resilience. Your support to Mick and others on the Good Morning thread has been constant and you were instrumental in keeping it going when he was in hospital.
It’s good that we can be open about our feelings on this thread and know that there are always folk ready to listen and to support. I hope the lengthening days and the other signs of Spring will lift your spirits as you have further news of Iris' recovery.
Keeping you in my thoughts. ?
Good morning Mick ans all
Grey with a soft breeze here in S E Essex, rain is forecast.
grandMattie sounds as if you are having a wobbly day, hopefully positive news about Iris later will lift your spirits ?
No plans for today (there’s a surprise) I shall look in the freezer for tonight’s meal.
Keep safe and well folks ?♀️
Good morning Mick and All.
Cloudy day here in South Bucks.
So pleased things seem to be going in the right direction for your Iris grandMattie.
Woke at silly o’clock, drinking tea at 5.30 with my Kindle.
Another thrilling day of doing nothing other than knocking back the antibiotics and completing my Spanish lesson.
Good morning all from a damp S Hants, rain due this morning. Good news on Iris GrandMattie, another op ticked off. sheepandcattle busy, busy, I’m so slothful compared to your life, I love your updates, thank you. I’m up early and off to the farm shop in about 20 minutes, it opens at 7:30 and will be quiet when I get there.
Magic text came yesterday for vaccine next Wednesday, about all that did happen, it rained all day. Wondering where EV is, hoping all is ok.
Wishing you all a gentle day, thoughts with those struggling, hoping a little ? enters your Thursday.
gM, you warm and inform the hearts and minds of many of us here. Could that be just a flickering of a purpose? I find your contributions moving and impressive.
Sorry everyone. Feeling a bit low and useless. ?
Good morning all from Derbyshire where it's currently dry.
I took DH for his jab yesterday - so far no ill effects, although he's still asleep so I can't get the latest update yet. I enjoyed popping in a couple of food shops whilst waiting for him.
I'm about to go for my main shop but am a bit later than usual as I struggled to wake up and could have easily gone back to sleep.
Pleased to hear all went well with Iris. Hope the missing posters are ok.
Have a good Thursday all.
