Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve got a few bits of blue sky peeping through the clouds.
Nothing planned yet today, yesterday turned out to be a lovely afternoon so I pottered in the garden just seeing what was starting to grow. Same again today I think

Good morning from what promises to be a bright day in north Surrey.
Felt better as day went on yesterday so managed a walk in the afternoon and we sat with a cup of tea in the garden when we got back. Our dog loves being outside so he was very happy. He can’t be trusted on his own as he likes to dig holes in the lawn.
I am having a walk with DD this morning. Although I see quite a lot of her due to childcare it is usually for the handover with excited boys wanting attention so it will be good to be just the two of us for a chat.
This afternoon I will do a bit more study as I have my appraisal on Thursday and my nursing revalidation is due in September. A good few months away but I hate leaving things until the last minute.
DH will be spending a few hours at the allotment, making the most of today’s good weather.

Ash, so many schools have done really “party” things to welcome children back. Very reassuring for those feeling unsettled.
Sheep, lovely portraits of your maternity wing. How long do you bottle feed the “orphans” for? Hope things slow down a bit now.
As for that interview, it was an exercise in spilling out years of resentment and bile. Not watched it. Poor family. How on earth do Haz and Meg ever expect them to reform bonds. They cooked their goose royally!!! Least said... loved the Sun’s reaction “Out telly broke “... ?

Morning all. It was a cold start but the sun is out now. I am getting ready to batten down the hatches tomorrow and Thursday .If the forecast is to be believed we are in for a hoolie!

Another day waiting for some improvement for DH as he had another poor night. The nurses keep coming in to take his BP so he is only sleeping in short bursts. His consultant saw him yesterday and said it will be a few days before he should start to improve. He is very stoic and uncomplaining though so I just support that as best I can in our phone calls.

At least I don't have to cope with what our poor Queen is going through with her DH also stuck in hospital.

Good morning all. Cloudy in Polmont and 7° already. Such lovely photos! Ashcombe and*Sheepandcattle*. And poor Iris ,Grandmattie having to lug that about. She is a very brave girl. Marydoll I feel for you, stuck lying down when you want to be busy. Your beef cobbler sounds lovely.
Babysitting duties again today so much like yesterday. Lots of playing with water, bricks, cars etc. Dgs is not a fan of drawing or painting but I persevere every day I have him as it's good for his fine motor skills. He does like the outdoors so we will go out regardless of weather for a walk and puddle splashing. And as it's Tuesday, there'll be a trip to the fish man for salmon fillets for him and his parents and lemon sole for me. I've still some pancake batter left so that'll do his breakfast and sausages and beans for lunch. He's getting a treat of ice cream too. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a lovely bright and sunny Essex by the sea.
I have an opticians appointment this morning so a trip out in the car, such luxury.
Two granddaughters went back to school yesterday, all went well. Another went into school for a lateral flow test and starts back today. A fourth goes into school today for a test and starts back tomorrow.
I spoke to two of my brothers last night and had lovely chats with both, we dont speak very often so there was a lot to catch up with.
Love the pictures of the lambs and admire Iris for coping admirably with the cage.

Off to have my feet done with my lovely podiatrist. Then we are going to Cliveden with our coffee and will walk around the Oriental Garden. DH takes bird seed for a robin we see every time we visit.

More packing and admin today.
Looks like the weather is going to be horrible on Friday when we move house.
We'll be eating whatever's in the freezer.

Good Morning Mick and all from a frosty S Hants, sun’s out, before the rain due to sweep in tonight.
I got my onions in the allotment yesterday Nannytopsy, cleaned the hob and hood in the kitchen and started my voluntary job. It’s coordinating people who need lifts, to hospitals Dr’s etc with those who offer lifts, part of a Good Neighbours scheme, kept me busy for an hour or so. Quieter day today, need to hoover everywhere and I might do a tad more at the allotment.
Thoughts are with those who are suffering loss, pain and sadness in their lives.

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

We have to get going early this morning as we have men coming to insulate our front bit of roof. Don't envy them - the hatch is very small and there isn't much head room. I expect there are also spiders at least!

Gosh! That does look unwieldy, grandMattie! What a brave girl Iris must be; I’m glad she had a good day in school.

Good morning from a grey E Kent. we are promised sunshine later.
So Late today, don't sleep well normally, so when I sleep up to the ungodly hour of 0700 I feel it is mid aftrnoon!
Here is a picture of Iris' cage. It seems very unweildy as well as heavy...School seems to have gone well, but I havent ha a proper report yet.
Supermarket today and that's it.

Work day today then I will play with my sewing machine tonight.
I am meeting my sister for a coffee in the park tomorrow, I will take DGS as we haven’t seen her since November.
Not a lot else to say apart from my thoughts are with everyone who has troubles and woes and hope you can all find a chink of light to raise a smile today.❤️?

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its currently 7°C, with rain expected.

Like grannysyb, not a great night and much of yesterday spent lying down, so nothing much to report, it will be another non day.

I have decided to make beef cobbler for dinner, as it is a favourite of mine and a one pot dish, which DH can serve up, if I'm not feeling good. The only problem is, I forgot to take the meat out of the freezer. ☹

Ashcombe lovely to see such uplifting photos. It reminds me so much of my own school. We would have done much the same to welcome the children back. This is one of the the rare occasions, when I don't miss teaching. A very difficult day ahead for staff and pupils.

My two friends across the road got their vaccination letters yesterday. Its been a week of good news for them. The Ebay queen's DIL has just announced she is having a baby in the autumn, as have my other two friends' daughters. Something joyful to look forward to.

Thinking of all our poorly friends and those who have sadly been recently bereaved. ?

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dry light and frosty.

I got around to my diy trip yesterday. Bought one of the things I wanted but they didn’t have the other item in the make I wanted and I have decided not to buy one of them at all as they are heavy. I think I’ll stick to the chainsaw.

It was a lovely day and some of my garden lights were still on this morning.

I planned to watch The Interview and then snored my way through most of it.

Some homeworking today and turkey mince to decide what to do meal making wise.

Good morning Mick and Good Morning-ers. A cold but clear start in Wiltshire. Luckily the water pipes weren’t frozen in the barn this morning as I had a lot of lamb milk to make up for some hungry lambs. I managed nearly 6 hours sleep last night as DH did the late checks and feeds in the lambing shed so I could have a very early night. Unfortunately I woke at 3am with an upset stomach (I think as a result of lack of sleep and eating ‘on the run’ over the past fortnight) so I was back in the lambing shed by 4am... yawn! Good job I was back down early as 3 ewes had lambed 5 lambs and were in a bit of a pickle as to which lamb belonged to who! It took a bit of sorting but between the ewes and myself, we managed to find a solution that everyone was happy with! Now I’m at the tail end of lambing, I’ve had time to take a few photos of the mums and babies. Thelma and Louise are the Zwarble ewes with their very smart lambs and the other ewe with her twins is Tank - a sweet ewe that I hand reared 3 years ago. The tangle of lambs is from the ‘orphan pen’, although they aren’t really orphans, they’re spares from triplets as we only send 2 of triplets out with a ewe. This year I’ve ended up with 18 spares that now need to be hand reared,, which is more than I’d like but that’s life! I’m still very tired and will need to catch up on a lot of sleep before I feel half human again, so apologies if I’m not making a lot of sense! On a non-sheep note, my 7 year old granddaughter went back to school yesterday. My DiL rang me weeping at 9am to say that, when the children lined up to go into school, the teachers all gathered in the playground to applaud the children as they went in ?. I thought that this was so lovely that I had a good weep too!! I’m way to emotional lately!! Lastly, DH and I have our appointments booked for our vaccinations next week which I’m delighted/ excited/relieved about. It’s starting to feel like ‘tomorrow really will be a good day’. Best wishes to you all and I can finally start reading the good morning posts again and catch up with everyone’s news.

We will probably go to the allotment this morning, need to ring a friend to see if she wants me to walk her dog this week as she is having chemo today and doesn't feel great afterwards. Good morning, Mick and everyone else on another frosty one in Torbay.

Yesterday DGD (8) was so excited to be returning to school that she was up, dressed and ready by 7.00 a.m.! DD and her colleagues had planned to be in early to make their school look welcoming for their returning pupils, as per photos.

After a cold start, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day so I enjoyed the chance to sit in some local gardens, entirely tended by volunteers. It was bequeathed to the area by the widow of a London jeweller, who stipulated it was for use only by adults so no children (or dogs!) are permitted. It is an oasis of tranquility in a busy place.
