Alegrias It’s the sentiment behind the quote and it’s apt.
Mega dinghies transport 230 migrants in one go. 80,000 arrived under Labour.
Just a rant about GP surgery - sorry

Has anyone got a different perspective after watching last evenings interview?
I am be really interested to hear if any of you feel more or less pro the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Racism in the US ? can’t be true, if it was Meg and Haz wouldn’t never have chosen to live there

How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child
I hope that one day they feel the same pain. I know this is all going to go wrong for Harry a few years down the line and maybe he’ll be on the receiving end of the same thankless child. Is everyone aware that King Lear said that about Cordelia, who in fact was the only child who really loved him and the other 2 were toeing the line to get their inheritance?
Made up arguments eh? Hmmmmm
Methinks thou scrapest the barrel
Grany If that’s the case, and Harry gets a pass then obviously the other members of the RF do. We can all change our minds and do. None of us stay the same.
I read an article yesterday by the Lord Lieutenant of London (think that was it but can’t be bothered to check). Mixed race, from wrong side of the tracks (his words), mother a single parent. Many pictures of him in full regalia and in civvies, laughing with the Queen, PC and Harry. He states he has never encountered racism from any of the RF although he has from elsewhere. More, when in the US strangely enough.
True maddyone.
trisher that genuinely made me laugh! Thank you - needed a smile today. But have you ever heard of irony?
Alegrias No ball, no foul eh? I don't think expecting someone to explain their need to insult people that they interact with is a made up argument. But it's your right to choose not to defend it.
I am aware , went through it with 3 grandchildren taking their
A’s
There is indeed ‘bile and hatred’ on this thread, and much of it is coming from those who support Meghan and Harry towards those who are sceptical. They cannot accept that others may have a different view.

Harry changed his views for the better ?
Such as - I have walked away from my family but expect them to continue to give me money
Those who support Meghan and Harry give every appearance from their posts of completely believing everything they state as pure, undisputed fact. However they denigrate those of us who believe that the much of what was said in the interview needs to be taken with a large pinch of salt. No one can prove racism, no one can prove Meghan’s mental health suffered, no one can prove who cried over the bridesmaid dresses. There is however clear evidence that the two weddings was a lie simply because it is impossible to be married twice, or without witnesses. Maybe Meghan was confused about what happened in the garden, but if she was confused about this, what else was she confused about? And if this was a lie, what else was a lie?

Well NellG Harry did say racist comments like the RF That was before he met and married Meghan and changed his views for the better.
NellG have you never heard of the disinterested observer?
I fully admit to being fascinated (and a little appalled) by the absolute bile and hatred on this thread. But the subject of the thread is irrelevant to me.
Alegrias1 that's a great question. Perhaps what is revealed here is an example of how ideas can be sold to people which have absolutely no factual basis but build on prejudice and hatred. It is enlightening but scary.
Alegrias1 do we all not make our minds up about politicians
we have never met ?
Too early or not enough time to think up an answer?
Grany If all these incidents are true, one would have to wonder why such a woke warrior as Meghan would entertain the idea of marrying into such a racist family/institution, much less why she’d be so outraged that her son wasn’t gifted a title?
Good try NellG. Too early for me to get into made up arguments.
Alegrias given that you've just made an unfounded suggestion that people who don't think as you do must be gullible and easily influenced I suspect you can answer your own question. What makes you believe that your view is correct and therefore better?
Some interesting and informative posts. I didn't know that it had been suggested that H out his grievances in writing; if only he had.
The awful thing is you trust your family, especially your own child. When we invested money into our ES's house along with my brother, we had a legal document drawn up, not because we didn't trust him, but to 'protect' all concerned so there would be no problems in the future.
Unfortunately, because we did trust him, we weren't as thorough as we should have been and instead of being able to receive our investment when we want/need too, we will only get the money back if and when the house is sold.
They were aware at the time that when the investment was made it wasn't necessarily a forever investment, and that if we ever needed the money it would be repaid.
My brother's investment was for his retirement with a 'gentleman's agreement' that he at least would have his returned when he was 60. That was a couple of years ago and the money has not been forthcoming despite being requested.
So they continue to benefit from living in a house they'd have been unable to afford at the time without the investment made by people they now refuse to have anything to do with.
I'm not trying to derail this thread or do a Meghan (it's all about meeee) but thought our experience was pertinent to the discussion, especially as I keep seeing news feeds where one of M's friends says they have texts, emails and written 'evidence' to support their claims.
The argument of "Why do you keep commenting on it if you're not that interested" is an interesting one - if a little tired. You can read my post above for why I think its unwise to leave these kinds of discussions to the people who have already made their minds up about some random woman they've never met.
Lollin much like we all have our “own truth” I suppose but there is only the actual truth.
trisher only because you're assuming that what matters to you matters to everyone and appear to perceive it to be the superior position. At this stage, if it makes you this uncomfortable it might be to your benefit to steer clear, but as you keep coming back it seems you're as invested in it as many others.
TBH I find it all a bit disturbing Trisher. If people can jump to these conclusions and make unfounded comments about people they have never met and who mean nothing in their lives, what else will they believe?
Grany I note that you leave out all the times IN THE PAST that Harry was racist - Nazi Uniforms, "Paki" friends, Ragheads...
In the interest of balance you ought to include it - or is his racism forgivable?
