If not Oprah interviewing, who would you like to have seen?

Who might, in your opinion, have done a better job?
For myself, I would have liked to have seen Andrew Neil in the interviewer's chair.

Would Robin Day (John Knott Falklands interview) still cut it, do you suppose?

Apart from the fact that he died 20 years ago, I think he would ixion!!

It really all depends what you wanted from the interview - I guess M and H bore that in mind when agreeing.

I was going to say the truth, suziewoozie but one person's perception of the truth could be quite different to another's interpretation.

Interesting- all men bar 3 and, being charitable, that includes Mrs. Merton?

Urmstongran better still a collective Gransnet Inquisition ?

John Freeman, who would dissect MM and find out what exactly makes her so destructive.
John Humphrys, Jeremy Paxman, Piers Morgan; none of these would be deferential.
Any one would be better than Oprah Winfrey, vastly over-rated, and never forget, also an actress. although one with talent.

Any one of us I think!

If it had been a few years ago Michael Parkinson

or perhaps Mrs Merton.

"Tell me, what first attracted you to the millionaire Prince?"

Dragonella Tue 09-Mar-21 18:01:07

Ian Hislop.

Or, indeed, anyone.

Are there any probing and impartial interviewers in the U.S.?
(I ask out of sheer ignorance!)

Lexisgranny Tue 09-Mar-21 17:57:21

Any interviewer who was unbiased and would ask and insist on answers to the Difficult questions that they would prefer not to answer. However, this would never happen.

ixion Tue 09-Mar-21 17:56:15

I read somewhere that it was a conversation .....
