Words that make you shudder

I dislike the word shudder as in I shudder to hear/think

Starting to dislike ‘toxic’.

The phrase ‘spot on’.

The word nice and husband's referring to wifey

I so hate the use of ‘kids’ - I have to restrain myself from shouting at the tv when people such as Johnson say it in the HoC.

Panties - makes me cringe. I also hate fart and agree it sounds so crude.

"like" when used constantly and inappropriately. "Yous" instead of "you" - my daughter in law says "yous" constantly. I can feel myself flinching when she says it. Fart - can barely even type it! Belly, toilet, serviette, kiddies, bum, passed instead of died. Oh dear, there seems to be rather a long list!

‘Dumb’ as in stupid, from people who aren’t American.

Absolutely agree with most of these but also referring to people who have not knowingly been horrible human being as 'legends'.

Oh, ditto to ‘panties’ sounds so twee and prissy.

And something I saw earlier - ‘bestie’ as in best friend. Unless you’re about 6 of course.

Catarrh is another, yuk.! A friend of mine would say "I'm going for a piddle". For a start I don't need to know and what age are you! Another calls me Hun all the time, I cannot remember the last time she actually used my Christian name.

what does it mean?
as in ageism,sexism, racism, sectarianism.

Fart, I just can’t use it. It sounds so crude, but even my young grandchildren use it and my daughter is a teacher. Odd as I’m not usually prudish, and while I detest swearing in ordinary conversation, I can swear with the best if it’s appropriate, I just can’t say that!

I really don't understand the word Woke as in wokeful, wokeness, wokery etc.

My mind just goes blank!
