Morning Mick, morning All from a noisy corner of Somerset. The rain on the window sounds like a machine gun.

Know how you feel bellasnana. Colonoscopy on Tuesday for me and I also have covid-hospital- anxiety. Covid test tomorrow so snap, I’ve been told to isolate after that until the procedure. Feel a lot of reading coming on.

Goodness sheepandcattle, where do you get your energy? Please let us know what the vets advice is about the misshapen lamb.

No matter what the weather does we’ll venture out for some air today. As I’m on a restricted eating plan over the weekend Mr C has requested our usual Sunday roast today, so if I think tomorrow is Monday you’ll understand why .

Bedding today - can I stand the excitement? I love sliding between clean freshly ironed sheets. Shock, horror, yes I iron my sheets and pillowcases, just the top of the sheets for effect though.
Having salmon en croute for dinner. I love puff pastry (shop bought of curse) but try to avoid it as I would eat a whole packet on my own. I make pudding with it too. Slash half an apple and put it cut side down on a square of puff pastry, sprinkle sugar. Eat it with plain yoghurt. Yum!
DGS granddad lost his leg yesterday. He’s had everything from diabetes, COPD, septicaemia, and CV19, poor man - and he’s barely in his 60s!
My thoughts go to everyone with problems today. Loadsa flaming goes. ☀️?☀️???☀️

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is wet and windy for a second day in a row.
Mick my DH wore his monitor for 72 hours, he had to shower, sleep and work in it then take it back to be analysed.
Called the surgery for my blood results and they are in but they wouldn’t tell me what they are, I have to see the doctor today. To be honest I hope I have got thyroid problems as it will be an answer at last, they diagnosed me with Fybromyalgia last year and I just struggle understanding that condition and why I would get pain without any reason, it’s hard to accept and even harder to explain to my DH, I just think a clinical reason would be easier for me to accept. I won’t feel like I am going mad then!!!

Good morning from Shropshire.

I woke early this morning, thought it was Sunday and was going to try and get back to sleep then realised it was Friday and the little whirlwind will be arriving in an hour.We will pick DGD up from school later and if it’s dry we’ll go to the park.I have made cupcakes for her and we’ll take a flask of hot chocolate too.

I have to go into town at some point to M and S to get some ready meals and treats for mum which we will deliver on Sunday.She also wants a pack of Easter cards.

Hope your day goes well Mick and that your appointments all go well too Bellasnanna.I totally understand your anxiety, not silly at all?

Hope Mary and Cherry have both had a restful night and are feeling better today?

Cloudy but dry here in north Surrey.
My appraisal went well thank you, I have a lovely manager who recognises that in my twilight nursing years I don’t need objectives which involve extra study or getting involved in various action groups. The discussion underlined how content I am in my career after years of pushing myself to achieve through promotion, thus my job became increasingly stressful. I am proud of what I did achieve but it is nice now to “just be a nurse”.
The dog alarm has woken us this morning, he is getting earlier with the lighter mornings and we are sat in bed with cup of tea. (Not the dog) ?
Boys will need waking soon. I let them stay up to watch a programme on channel 4 about a dog rescue centre, it was a nice gentle heartwarming programme which we all enjoyed.
Schools run, Pilates, bathroom cleaning and a visit to mum and dad on the agenda for today.
Pitcity I hope the move goes well with no hiccups and the weather is kind for you.

A few bits to get from a different supermarket to yesterday and we need to fill the car up with diesel.

Good morning all from wet Harrogate. Have quite a busy morning so thought I’d get my penny worth in now. I’ve got a Zoom coffee morning with the church this am and after that we have to take the car out for a spin and call at the vets for more doggy medication. We have to be back for two phone calls, then probably collapse!!
bellasnana you have a right to be worried about the virus, but just being careful should be enough.
Ash your talk of a drama reminds me of one I belonged to in my teens. I was usually an extra or chorus girl and make-up person and screen painter. It was great fun!!

Good morning Mick and all. I hope your hospital appointment goes well Mick and that your fish and chips are delicious. Mild but rainy here in Wiltshire and I believe with got high winds coming again later on .... come on Spring, I’m really, really looking forward to your arrival!
Yesterday I was on fire! I cleared away all the lambing pens and lambing equipment debris that was all over the barn AND hoovered the house, washed floors and did 3 loads of washing. I was quite the domestic goddess ?. The urge to do housework doesn’t hit me very often so when it does strike, I have to act fast on it. After 3 weeks of just surviving, it was really good to clear away some of the chaos.
2 of the remaining ewes lambed yesterday- a nice set of twins and a tiny single from a first time ewe. She was very overwhelmed when her lamb appeared and whilst she was fascinated by it, she couldn’t take her eyes off it to allow it to go under her to suck- not uncommon in young mums. I gave the lamb a tube-feed of colostrum to ensure he didn’t run out of energy chasing his mum around and this morning they have sorted it out themselves and he’s happily sucking. Happy start to the day ?.
The 18 orphans are eating me out of house and home - I’m constantly mixing milk powder to satisfy their voracious appetites! I’ve got one poor little lamb - now named Pinchy- who was a surprise triplet out of a ewe scanned as carrying twins. He was born with deformed, very bowed front legs and a hunched back. I’ve had this before with triplets where one has been very squashed in the womb and they normally straighten out in time, but Pinchy is quite extreme. It’s always
a very difficult decision to either euthanise at birth or give them a try but Pinchy showed great spirit so I’ve given him a chance. He can walk and feeds with great gusto but I’m not sure that his legs will come good. Whilst it’s not a huge problem for him whilst he is young and light, it could become serious/ painful as he grows and puts on weight. I’ve got the vet coming a week Monday to take a cast off a ewe with a broken leg so I’ll ask her advice and be led by what her verdict is. Out of 250+ lambs, it’s inevitable that you get the odd wonky one, but it tough as they often show great character. We’ll see.......
Todays plans, if my clearing/cleaning mojo continues, is to finish off the shed and housework - it would be nice to start the weekend tomorrow with a clean-sweep! I can’t relax properly in the evenings if there’s mess around me.
I had a lovely video from my son of my 18 month old grandson. Apparently he is rather obsessed by a children’s tv program about a swashbuckling pirate and does all the actions to the pirate song with lots of pirate-ish ‘arghhhhs’?. I noticed he was lacking a parrot on his shoulder so I’ve duly ordered a (toy) parrot to arrive tomorrow (and a cuddly flamingo for his big sister....... more flamingos!!)
MaryDoll - I was saddened to read yesteday how wretched you’re feeling at the moment health wise and hope that today is a good day for you.
For those moving to your new homes today I wish you a happy landing, and to everyone else, have a happy Friday....... one day closer to the lifting of Lock down!

Good morning from bright West Berkshire.

It’s been a busy week with 3 days of volunteering which keeps me sane , plus driving a relative to her physio appointment following her hip replacement operation.

Today is the weekly shop which I enjoy. The bill will be halved as my son is moving out tomorrow to a lovely flat .

I don’t come onto this thread everyday so can’t keep up with all the news , but wish every one well who is poorly and with challenges in life .

Good luck with your hospital trip Mick . I’m pleased they are getting on with the tests to sort it out for you . I’m guessing there are more tests to come?
I had my monitor for 7 days and I was very pleased to see it go.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is piddling down with rain.

I’ve just seen a shop I follow on Fb is showing it has Christmas decorations, that’s earlier than putting on the sprouts.

A shop to do this morning. I want to make Urms liver casserole and a cous cous recipe I saw in a Lidl leaflet that came with the post. Fill my car with fuel, visit the post office and that will be my outside adventures for today.

You’ve got a busy day Mick. Brave of you to go on the bus. Hope all goes well and that the heart monitor will pick up any issues you might have.

Got myself in a real state about going to the hospital yesterday for the CT scan. I felt as if the virus was everywhere, silly of me I know.

I have to go back today to pick up paperwork for Monday when I am having a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy, then tomorrow will have to go for a Covid swab so I had better get used to the hospital. It’s only a ten minute drive at least.

Good morning, Mick and the early risers from a showery Torbay. Yesterday we were treated to wind, rain, sunshine and hail! And the wind hasn’t subsided yet. ????

Thank you for the encouraging comments yesterday about our forthcoming production which were heartwarming. NanKate: We rely on our loyal, local supporters to swell our audiences and usually attract holidaymakers, too. Grandmabatty and Gingster: yes, we do have fun at rehearsals and there is a great deal of camaraderie. We all depend on our backstage crew, LauraNorder, without whom we couldn’t strut our stuff! Scentia: DH and I have been asked to be the airmen (I’ve always wanted a moustache!) and to be café customers in several scenes. Unfortunately, DH still awaits receipt of his carte de séjour which would permit him to travel freely to and from France, (a post Brexit requirement) once the borders reopen fully in the summer.

My thoughts are with Marydoll who is such an example of strength in adversity, as are so many Gransnetters. An inspirational approach to life. I hope all is well on the maternity wing for sheepandcattle. Where would we be without our farming community?
