What was your favourite age to be? My family moved around a lot in my childhood & my adult years have been a bit stressful at times , so my absolute best years were 17 to 19 . I was at college . Life was full of fun , I had lots of friends , life just seemed perfect . I only wish I’d appreciated it more at the time!

Probably a tie between mid to late teens & early 20's when I was having a really great time & mid 20's when I had married & was having my babies. That was fun as there were other new young mums about & we all got together to play tennis while the babies slept in their prams & had many a coffee morning or picnic in gardens. I am still in contact with some of them.
Happy days!

In my fifties when I moved jobs and had a creative surge which enabled me to feel more fulfilled than at any other time. It was also when my current husband contacted me via Friends Reunited which was a very special time.

I enjoy being 16 - 22 but it definitely had its drawbacks. I went through agonies of shyness if I had to talk to strangers, studied music professionally and found the extremely competitive environment trying.

30 something, I enjoyed much more self-confidence. At forty, even more.

Frankly, I think every age group had its attractions and I don't look back thinking, "if only I was such-and-such an age again.

Definitely now! Free to travel (once this is past!), no responsibilities, time to walk and exercise. Just no rush in life at all. After years of working hard in our business I am just relishing being able to please myself and enjoy things I didn’t have time for before.

My late 20s early 30s. At home with two young children and no work to worry about. Very little money but happy with a simple life!

52, or whenever menopause was done, and all the years since. My hormones have a lot to answer for.

In my late teens, early 20s and then I decided to get married at 30. Big mistake, a divorcee now. It was the 80s, big hair, great music and fantastic foreign hols with the girls. Loved life and couldn't wait til my working week was over to go & buy a new outfit for Saturday night.

I loved being a young mum. I felt fulfilled and knew my place in the world.

16-24 best years before my mum died, although didn’t know at the time how much I would miss her, even more now after 37 years.

Thirty. New baby, new home - tiny, but in lovely friendly welcoming area. Only half an hour from town and work, but close to fields with cowslips in spring and damsons in the hedges in late summer.

We moved away when we needed a bigger house for a growing family. This was a mistake. Should have stayed put and squeezed in an extra bedroom somewhere, somehow.

My 50s was the best years.

35 - old enough to be sensible; still young enough to enjoy life.

TanaMa Mon 15-Mar-21 10:54:18

60s when my husband was still alive and life was full of love, laughter and living!!

Sheilasue Mon 15-Mar-21 10:51:19

18 to 21 best years went through the 60s had a great time.
My parents were quite strict but once I hit that age they could see I wanted to enjoy myself.
I got married at 23 didn’t have my first child till I was 25 then a daughter then my son came along when I was 27.
Never regretted any of it would do it all over again.
Wish I had had a crystal ball though for my son died in 2007 at the age of 35 was such a shock and still is.

Yes Humbertbear , being a teenager in the 60’s (& early 70’s) was amazing . The music, the fashion , there was such a buzz , I loved it .

LauraNorder Sun 14-Mar-21 10:22:52

Thirties and forties. Past that stage of caring what people think, sharing the hopes and dreams of the children, having the ability to juggle all the plates and only need a few hours sleep, having confidence not only in oneself but in those around us.
I’m personally content with my life but not so satisfied with the world around me. I suppose you could say more jaded.
A good question.

Probably my sixties. Retired, grandchildren, freedom and health to do more or less what I wanted.

maryrose54 Sun 14-Mar-21 10:03:16

Now. I have retired, have 2 lovely grandchildren, and am learning how to deal with my anxiety which has been a problem for several years.

My 50s - family grown up, new job and lots of foreign travel.
I also loved being a teenager in the 60s.

shysal Sun 14-Mar-21 09:27:37

In my 20s, married with two children.

simtib Sat 13-Mar-21 23:18:54

I agree with Urmstongran I like now. I am 70 but still got my health and reasonable fit. I am free to go where in the world I want when we are allowed and I have my children and grandchildren to keep my mind active.

Urmstongran Sat 13-Mar-21 23:10:26

Now really. I’m very content.
That said, each age had it’s good times too. Nice to reminisce whilst enjoying what I’m fortunate to have at present.

25 - 40 I was fit, a good runner. I had beautiful small children who still thought I knew what I was talking about? can’t think of a better time. Mind you nothing beats being a nana❤️

Now!!! Lovely, comfortable home, happily watching my all my AC lead good, successful lives. Enjoy seeing my g.children getting ready for Uni's, etc. Nothing really to worry about, except my menus for next week. Looking forward to going into my 80's in a couple of months time.
