I can’t think of a time I have been on a bicycle since the year 2000. I used to.

FannyCornforth Mon 17-May-21 14:14:08

If you could dance with a famous person, who would it be?

Lollin Mon 17-May-21 20:24:04

A ballerina but can’t think of any names, so I’ll say Oti Mabuse as she is always laughing and I cannot dance so it wouldn’t matter as it wouldn’t happen.

Does stormy weather unsettle you?

hollysteers Tue 18-May-21 00:42:24

Not particularly, but as a child, thunderstorms and lightning absolutely terrified me and I’m not keen on them when I’m flying.

Would you go down in a submarine?

nanna8 Tue 18-May-21 00:59:54

No,not now. Might have when I was younger.

Would you go sky diving to raise money for a charity?

Nansnet Tue 18-May-21 05:26:21

Absolutely not! I can't even go up the step ladder, and look down to the ground, without getting the shakes!

You can choose 6 people - who would be your ideal dinner guests?

FannyCornforth Tue 18-May-21 07:46:45

Craig Brown, Terry Jones, Jarvis Cocker, Barry Cryer, Peter Cook, and Sue Townsend.

Or the Mitford Sisters (nothing to do with The Pursuit of Love)

I'd also have to get someone to cook and host for me, as I'd be a nervous wreck.

What would you serve at your dream dinner party?

biglouis Tue 18-May-21 08:23:24

Elizabeth I and a few of her courtiers - I have a fascination for the Tudor period.

If you discovered what appeared to be a dead body in a remote spot - bearing in mind the press hooha and often unwelcome publicity - would you:-

#1 ring the police & give your contact details
or
#2 ring the police but do it anonymously from a call box or burner
or
#3 say nothing and let someone else find it

Mollygo Tue 18-May-21 09:19:54

Probably 1. Hope it never happens.

Soup-undecided as yet depends what I’ve made.
Beef en croute with seasonal veg and DH’s roast potatoes
Raspberry sorbet or crème brûlée.

If you found the aforementioned body, would you take pics on your phone and hang around till the police arrived?

FannyCornforth Tue 18-May-21 09:30:25

'morning Molly - thanks for answering the menu question! smile

I probably wouldn't even think about taking photos.
I'd hang around until the police turned up because I'd be interested to see what happens next, and I'd also want to know that I'd done the right thing.

Can you think of a real life crime book or film that you have really enjoyed?
(I'm thinking of Let Him Have It. That was such a sad story.)

hollysteers Tue 18-May-21 12:33:58

Dance with a Stranger about Ruth Ellis was very good.

Would you say you are an introvert or an extrovert?

BBbevan Tue 18-May-21 12:39:10

Introvert, except after a few gins

Do you watch ‘antique’ based programmes?

cb1963 Tue 18-May-21 13:33:12

I used to enjoy Dickinsons Real Deal and would regularly tune in to see if I had anything of value hidden away in the loft. I've gone off it recently as it seems dated and needs a makeover.

Do you have a favourite dessert?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 18-May-21 14:37:06

Oh gosh yes. Eton Mess is wonderful, also Les Isles Flottante and fruit fool - anything light.

Do you have anything in your cupboard which might come in handy but which you've hardly ever used?

Puzzler61 Tue 18-May-21 14:54:26

A “Buttoneer” Does anybody remember them? Advertised on TV. Plastic threads were shot through the button in a trice, securing them onto a garment.
I still take a needle and thread to sew on a button - I never think of the redundant Buttoneer.

biglouis Tue 18-May-21 23:05:48

Do you use tablecloths?

FannyCornforth Wed 19-May-21 04:06:02

I've got one of those wipe down oil cloth hobbies on the kitchen table.
I've also inherited some beautiful hand embroidered cotton ones from my great grandmother, which I would never use. Silly, isn't it? But they'd be ruined within minutes.

Have you ever had a post deleted on here? Why? And how did you feel about it?
If not - have you ever 'reported'?

FannyCornforth Wed 19-May-21 04:06:50

Jobbies, not hobbies!

biglouis Wed 19-May-21 08:42:17
