Gaga good news, sounds like your DH is slowly recovering, good to see Elizabeth back too. sheep I am renowned for my list, I have a notebook by my chair and a smaller one in my bag, not so much on them these days, Marydoll we’re expecting someone this morning to discuss some deep digging and shifting of topsoil, I’m not holding my breath.Another one with an oscopy Ekwa it must be rather disconcerting in a way not to have found something like polyps, hopefully your GP can make some suggestions.

Morning from a grey S Lanarkshire and I think it’s to stay that way. Never mind, yesterday was lovely and I enjoyed my first walk for weeks with my local girl who has completely recovered from what, in spite of a negative test, we think was Covid. She was really poorly with many strange symptoms and says she has never known exhaustion like it.
Happy belated birthday wishes Sheepandcattle and well done to your talented GD Taichinan, very good wishes for her future.
Thoughts are with you today in your vigil dragonfly?
I am also a to do list person, but someone on here a few weeks ago said that instead, they had a ‘Ta da!’ list when jobs are completed and I’m now incorporating that as well!

Good morning Mick and all. It's good to hear that you're looking better and therefore, I hope, feeling it. A bit of normality and meeting more people will finally put that spring back in your step - as it will for all of us! I was going to 'get up and get going' early this morning - until I pulled back the curtains and saw the thick mist on the Angus coast! It has the most depressing effect and when it comes in like that it tends to linger. Anyway I have come back to bed. Grrrr!
Sheep I'm so sorry I forgot to wish you a happy birthday yesterday, but glad you had a lovely day. Don't let your DS's forgetfulness get to you - it's hard keeping track of days and dates these days! I have one son like that. Two weeks before Mother's Day he apologised for having forgotten it. Not only that but he had berated his own two adult sons, who still live at home, for having forgotten it for their mum too! He did eventually get it right - but late of course, even after all that!

I remember those rackety Maltese buses from when we lived there in the 70s, Bella - a different colour for every route and they had right of way over all rules of the road! If you had a contretemp with a bus you were automatically in the wrong because "you should have known where it was going and got out of its way"!! Malta won't be the same without them.
Ash thank you so much for the uncontrollable mirth yesterday with the video of the gran reading "Wonky Donkey" to the baby. I've seen it before, but didn't laugh any the less this time round. My DD's family nickname was Wonky because when she started talking 'Awonka' was what she made of her name. So when that wonderful little book came out I couldn't resist popping it in among her presents for Christmas that year! Happy memories.
So glad your DH is beginning to feel a bit better Gagagran - that spell in the sunshine will work wonders.
Now, up and on I shall get as I notice the mist has lessened somewhat - who knows, we may see the sun here after all, so I had better be prepared!

Eldest GD (19) is moving out of the family home into a little ( very ) flat fairly locally. Normally would be helping out but not allowed. DD has promised to give me a Zoom tour once the move is complete.

Good morning all from cold Lueneburg. I am another one for lists. But mostly I forget or other things come up. My friend is very happy in hospital where she may stay till the end of March. She can walk again with a rollator . There is no more mentioning of an old age home. She is like a queen bee being served on and having lots of visitors every day- her children and me. We can visit for one hour at the time. Her daughter is arranging for a place for her to convalesce for a few weeks. At the moment she is being checked over. She loves it there.
I am going for a longish walk to the next village to buy some bread from the farm where vulnerable people live and work.

Good morning all from Polmont. It's cloudy with patches of blue enough to make sailor's trousers. Currently 8°.
Firstly ? for Dragonfly. It's good to hear from Beauregard and Elizabeth as I've missed them both.
Today I could go to Aldi but I have enough in til tomorrow so I might leave it til then as I'm having a can't be bothered morning. We'll see. I made scones and peanut butter cookies yesterday so I have enough goodies. I was stupid yesterday. I had made a pizza on Thursday night and left some of it in the oven. Of course when I heated the oven yesterday for the scones, I completely forgot about it and only remembered when the smell of burning percolated through. So it was a freezer tea last night.
My aunt and uncle are coming over today to have a look at some wood. I had massive leylandii cut right back last year and the trunks have been lying in the garden next to the shed. Aunt and uncle have a wood burner so if they want the wood, they're welcome to it! Apart from that, Saturday is housework day. I need to give the inside of the fridge a clean too. Good morning, Mick and All from a dull, grey Cumbrian coast. I've had a busy 3 days dealing with solicitors and my hospital appointment for a colonoscopy yesterday.
House purchase money has been successfully transferred my account to the solicitor. Not by me though, I chickened out and went into the bank branch where they meticulously checked and cross-referenced everything including me before sending off my mini fortune. Not long after my return the solicitor rang to tell me they had the cash. Completion is next week and then it will be all mine. Next was booking the removers-for after Easter. I only just got them for my desired date, they seem to be very busy. My removal date is cunningly designed to be just after the hairdressers open for business. I have had mine for over 40 years and wanted to see her for one last time. I haven't been 'done' since December and I am getting desperate.
The colonoscopy meant 24 hours of starvation and purging, that's all I'll describe! The actual procedure went better than I was fearing. Excellent staff. I had previously been told that a CT scan indicated IBD. Not having the classic symptoms, I was doubtful. Correctly. I don't. No signs of inflammation and bowels in reasonable state for one of my age. Back to square one and my GP. My weight is still gently melting away and no serious cause found, which is good but still worrying.
It's going to be a gentle day of pottering as I deserve it and a long phone to my sister, our weekly.

Planted summer bulbs , had to squeeze them in between the other stuff . Sadly we found the dreaded vine weevil , drenched the area even though I don’t like chemicals
Marydoll there are photographs of me on the beach at Troon in 1938/39 ! And parents playing in the sand with their hats on !

So sorry to hear your news dragonfly about your mum lots of love to you and all the family such a sadness so pleased you could be with her during these times such a privilege

Good morning from Nottinghamshire which, like most places it seems, is grey and overcast - apart from Malta!

We should have two very large tubs and two bamboo plants arrive today to provide some instant screening from the new houses being build at the end of our garden. We plan to sink the tubs into the garden to stop said bamboo from taking over the county. I think my role will be mainly supervisory.

I slept a lot again yesterday but feel loads better this morning - scrambled egg again for breakfast with orange juice, toast and marmite. I read somewhere, probably on GN!, that strength goes in through the mouth!

Dragonfly, I feel for you. No matter how old, she’s still your mum.

The mobile dog groomer will be here shortly, I’m tempted to ask him to give my mane a trim too.

DD had booked to treat us and her brother and his family, to a weekend away in self catering lodges at the beginning of the year to celebrate her 40th but of course that didn’t happen. Yesterday she rebooked for early May, it’s so good to have something to look forward to. Fingers crossed for dry weather as we will be socialising outside.

Good morning all from Glasgow. We have had rain at some point overnight but grey clouds are clearing and hopefully another sunny day is ahead.

Finished off some power washing yesterday which I found quite satisfying as the colours of sandstone began to show.
A couple of coffee breaks in between is the norm now which takes longer to do such tasks but that’s just the way it is and doesn’t spoil the therapeutic value gained when I look at the finished result.

I am another one for lists so today I suppose I should have a look at my to do list re. housework. Oh joy!?

Good morning from a little bit of an overcast look to the day on the east coast of Fife . I’ve not posted for some time now. I’ve been so busy replying to the multitude of morning messages from family and friends.

The weather these past few days has been brilliant and I’ve been practicing more walking each morning to strengthen my legs. I’m afraid the wee bottles of Prosecco are shifting real fast what with having afternoon garden meet ups sitting in the bright and warm sunshine with our new neighbour,great gossiping taking place and putting the world to rights. Must get some more of these bottles they are delicious

Thankfully we’re both of a similar mind where we’re both supporting our first minister during these awful times hoping the truth will out and allowing her to get us through this pandemic in a calm and organised manner have a good day everyone look to the future it’s happening at last the sunshine is coming.

Good morning all and it’s looking ok ish here in Essex.

Yesterday was beautiful but a nip in the air. Got the washing dry though . Just needed a little airing in the very warm conservatory. I played online bridge out there and was quite sleepy at the end and had a 10 minute power nap! ?
We have a very small garden here which is almost maintenance free but a very large garden at our cottage by the sea. It’s so frustrating that we can’t get up there to get it sorted after the winter. We would be out there most of the day. I think that’s some of the problem with DH who has lost his ooph. Not enough for him to do here.
Hopefully we’ll be travelling up there on 12th April when we are allowed to travel out of our immediate area. ?.
Ds1 will be arriving soon to go for a 20 minute brisk walk with Dh. Get his legs moving!

Not sure what’s happening today. DD1 might be coming for a walk and DD3 may be doing a drive by with DGS.
Otherwise our usual local shop and a walk.
DH has finished power hosing the paths and patio in the back garden and they look much better. So maybe we’ll start on the front.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 7°C.

Beauregard, lovely to see you posting again. My husband also had that 16/1 winner, but the rest were also wonky donkeys!
I would never really know of any success, as that is on a need to know basis only and my DH says that I don't need to know.
In the old days, when our children were young, we only had one car and Saturday morning was my time, I would take off and leave DH with the children. At that time, we had just moved to Troon and one condition of having the car was that I had to put on a line in the bookies for DH. I used to lurk outside in case any of my posh neighbours saw me! ? ? Thank goodness for Paddy Power, I will never know how much is been hidden away in secret bank accounts in the Cayman Islands! ?

Yesterday was a non day, apart from feeding DD copious cups of tea, while she worked. I had no energy to do anything. The decking people failed to turn up, which was a waste of the morning. Why are people so unreliable, after I had fulfilled their request for photos and measurements? ?

Today we’re going to DD2 for a garden visit, it’s DH birthday tomorrow so we’re taking a few nibbles and a birthday cake to share later.

Thanks for asking GG and yes we're slowly getting used to it and getting it shipshape. DS is home today so hopefully he will help unload more boxes.
I have lots of bits and bobs being delivered today. Can't wait to get to a real shop!
Fingers crossed it's a dry weekend so DH can sort his garage.
