Well what a glorious evening!

I went out with my walking buddy this afternoon and even wore sunglasses because the sun was so bright!

Funnily enough, this morning at 11am Adam Boulton on SKY news was talking about restrictions being lifted allowing groups of 6 etc and then said ... over to (whoever) in Urmston, Gtr. Manchester... and there was ‘our park’ in the rose gardens! Seemed strange seeing it on tv!

I’m off to watch the last 2 episodes of ‘Big Little Lies’ and can squish those in nicely before I find out ‘who dunnit’ in ‘Unforgotten’ at 9pm. Hope everyone has a peaceful night ahead. x

Well my day was brightened by an email from GN (some are responding) to tell me I’d won £200 of vouchers, how exciting. I’ve mentally spent some of it on exciting things like a water butt, I know how to live. I’ve also learnt what wax melts are, a good wheeze someone thought up imho, but fair enough. Garden tidied this morning, this afternoon I was on my voluntary phone work until 5.. I had some T shirts and a top delivered by Tu, perfect, how they can get their sizing right when M&S have really lost it (4 tops to return), beats me, Tu are good quality and £4 a t shirt, I emailed to tell Tu thanks.
Thoughts with those in a difficult place this evening ?

The rain has just arrived in Inverness after a lovely warmish day up until now. I’ve been just pottering in the garden not doing much. We had a lovely red squirrel on the squirrel feeder for ages but when I tried to get a photo he got all camera shy - I’ll try again next time

These sound like fun activities Soop. Sadly the boy decided not to nap so it's been a challenging day. His dad, my sil, has also been whisked off to hospital with chest pains and breathing difficulty so I'm waiting to find out if I'm needed to watch dgs tonight. It never rains etc etc.

No, don’t be worried soop. It happens to me all the time. A familiar word just escapes me. Going through the alphabet can help, but I see in your case you already had the first four letters correct! Worry not, I gather it’s common. Or not uncommon ?

Grandmabatty Oh the joy of splashing in puddles and playing with water in the kitchen sink. I've some very happy memories of spending time doing just that with the grandchildren. How about walking besides iron railings and using a stick to make a noise? Or climbing up other people's steps and then saying, Oh, we don't live at this house. Let's try the next flight. It seemed such fun. Especially when I was fit and able to participate.

Fern is a minx- she knows now she can fly in at any time, day or night and receive lovely food carefully prepared. Not so much as a word of thank you.

I went out today dressed for mid January not realising it actually was 20C.

My immediate neighbours had a party on Saturday night- I wish then I had been 100%certain- I would have rung the police. I thought I was about to be burgled, I heard noises, saw flashes of light but I could see zilch and then it settled.

Busy here in Gravy Grange, DD has torn ligaments in her ankle and is on crutches which means additional Granny duties. The Doc in A&E said it would be six weeks at least before she would begin to feel better...

It must be the lack of normal routine that is making us feel like that. I do feel a lack of motivation at the moment (blaming after-effects of my 2nd vaccine) as if I have to force myself to do anything!

We have boxes of DVDs and CDs - will they ever become collectors' items like some vinyl has?

So many babies have been born to Kitcheners- even Torben was a toddler when Gransnet arrived on the scene. In no time at all they will be taking A-levels. My youngest GS is 13 now, and towering over me.

Welcome back dear annsixty. We all need and deserve social interaction, especially during the tough times. I fully understand why it is your feel deflated. All that I can offer you from here in our kitchen, is a supportive virtual arm around your shoulders. Please don't go far.

An infrequent visitor here, had a couple of good days last week then back in the doldrums.
I went to bed Saturday afternoon and stayed until lunch time yesterday, I am rudderless at the moment.
My GS1 is 22 today and tomorrow would have been H’s 85th.
I did have him for a long time I know.
We had a hectic few days as My D and SiL were staying with us temporarily from their home in Antigua and she came home on H’s birthday.Of course his family came to see the baby and the house always seemed full.
No keeping family away in those days.?
I have filled four boxes of DVD’s which now seem obsolete with the advent of Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.
They are waiting to go into the garage to linger there until we decide how to dispose of them.
Very warm here even though the sun has been clouded over.

Iam64 Marydoll anno Callistemon et al. I am seriously disappointed with the attitude of HQ. We, in the kitchen, have, for several years remained firm friends. I cannot recall a single incidence of any ill feeling between us lot. Surely, we deserve a kind response. Is anybody there? I ask with just a hint of frustration.

A quick breather as toddler has finally gone down for a nap. Hello and welcome to new posters. Glad that Fern has deigned to return. We've been to the swings and puddle splashing this morning,then more water play in the kitchen sink. After lunch I'm going to attempt to get him to make a picture for Easter. This boy is not a fan of drawing and painting and would rather run about so it may not be successful. Have a good day all

Cat was missing for five days. 9:35 precisely, Fern makes her presence known. 9:42 breakfast is served in the utility room. 9:50 - a quick wash and stretch. 9:55 leaves an empty dish and not a word of thanks. What does she think we are? A fast food takeaway, that's what.

I am about to make coffee. Haven't yet read through all the messages since I logged off yesterday. Will most certainly do so after lunch.
