Just popping in to let you know that Hattie, the thin dog, is now taking her final sleep. So sad for her mum.

I am about to assist Mr Soop with the construction of said ottoman. I couldn't start the job because I'm thick the screwdrivers etc., are in the loft. I can no longer use the ladder.

He has had his scalp zapped. A wee bit angry looking. Par for the course. We both have our second Covid jags booked for Wednesday. It's all happening.

A friend is pressure washing the outside of the house and pathways. He's doing a first class job.

I am about to print all the messages that I've yet to comment on. Tomorrow, I will do my best to get back on track.

You lot are the best. Just needed to say so before I heed the call to help Mr Soop who is measuring every last thing in the box. Tomorrow, I shall photograph the ottoman. We then have a couple coming by sometime late afternoon to remove our old sofa/suite (through the sitting room window.)

You are in my thoughts, and I shall be back with you tomorrow.

Good afternoon all, having maligned gardeners for not getting back to us one did today after a visit last weekend. He popped round earlier, I felt awful as he was stood in the pouring rain, we discussed grasses, perennials et al. So I’ve spent far too long on the iPad looking at various plants until my head spins, moving my btm to go out and stretch my legs now. After my smug medical on Tuesday I had a txt from my GP on Wednesday, my sodium levels are down, I’m prone to this, for some reason, bloods to be repeated in the next month or so’. Pop back later to catch up.
PS no room for a magnolia muse I have envy...

Good afternoon lovely people from a chilly mid-Notts. muse what a beautiful magnolia - we have one in our garden but not in flower as yet. It is lovely to see all the blossom and other signs of spring especially when the sun is shining too. Thinking of the missing kitties and also poor little Hattie. I went to fill a basket with laundry to go down to the washer this morning and before I'd even finished filling it Duncan had taken up residence in it - I didn't have the heart to move him !! Tonight is a simply cook recipe which includes cod fillets and peppers. Such a complicated name -apparently a Brazilian dish. So I'm sure Mr BA will enjoy showing off his culinary skills again !! Tomorrow I am on nanna duty which is always a joy but I'll definitely be early to bed tonight!! Sending virtual hugs to all who need a little comfort right now and I hope everyone has an enjoyable evening at the start of the weekend

Ooh Charleygirl we have a sometimes Russian gardener who is coming this evening to tidy up all the bits around the house. His ex girlfriend is our once a month cleaner and her work is excellent.

I’ve got an old fashioned mop Baggs, in fact I’ve got two, hows that for one-up man ship! What happened was that the manufacturers decided that the new heads would be designed to not quite fit the old sticks. Exactly as soop said they want you to keep buying newer items. The old mop hangs outside and although very worn will still wash down the patio if anyone (son in law) has the energy or if the dog we feed is particularly messy. I could always post you a mop head!

I do feel for slim dogs mum, facing anything like this when you are alone and in lockdown is doubly hard.

The Dermatologist has decided that in three months time I can gradually reduce the statins but meanwhile I have to have a lung CAT scan and a “ Facoemuslsficaço do cristalino com de lent intraoacular” and Google really didn’t like me typing that! I don’t suppose we have any medical translators among us?
He found it amusing that the only other patient he had had with the same problem was also English! It’s obviously hard to transplant English roses, ?

Susan it is a good job Henry fell asleep at the same time as DH or you may have found parts of the room rearranged. Difficult when he has so much energy but cannot speak yet.

The builder returned to take photos of some of his work and told me I can ring him anytime for any small job. He has taken this elderly biddy under his wing which suits me fine as his work is excellent and prices very reasonable. Communication is difficult- Lithuanian and Russian languages are beyond me, He also speaks very quickly and softly which are difficult.

We have had very heavy rain and it’s much colder today but looks much better for next week.
Not been up to doing much this week but just finished a pile of ironing always a relief ?Also posted an Easter parcel to my DS in Derbyshire hopefully we will get to see them soon.?

I’m just back from Tesco and have changed back into my comfy leggings and slippers - I’m finding my normal going out to the shop jeans a bit too snug right now ? the good thing about these comfy leggings is that they stretch everywhere so never feel tight .. anyhow enough rambling I’m staying in the rest of the afternoon as it’s so cold and blustery outside. DH of course being the tough guy he is is going to potter in the garden but I’m staying here nice and warm in the kitchen...

I do love going to the garden centres cornergran but I confess that sometimes the main attraction is the cafe, we’re lucky to have an independent garden centre close by and you should see the size of their delicious cakes!
