Feeling Flat

Thanks for the answers. It feels kinda weird to feel flat when I have no reason to do so Ro60 I like the idea of doing a deliberate mind shift
H1954 that is part of the problem I know full well that there are many in worse straits. I feel selfish to feel this way and then...I feel flatter . Silly I know
Redhead I have been doing the craft thing as well..however the things make that aren't for me...aren't for anyone . There really isn't anyone to give them to .
Lol JustMe weirdly enough with all that has happened I have lost weight (still fat )

I always find this time of year a bit hard really... I think it's the clocks going forward and it being light in the evenings but too cold to be out there. So I'm hoping for some warmth soon!

I'm a bit lackadaisical at the moment. I just feel lazy and don't want to feel like this... fatigue with all that's gone on I suppose.

The best thing I do is make bread... it is therapeutic seeing a lump of white dough ending up as something delicious! (But will need a new front door soon, as I won't be able to get out the old one )

They're not dumb & unnecessary if they're bugging you.
It is hard not meeting up with friends - we used to be able to laugh out way through our problems with a coffee.
These days coming on GN gives me something else to think about.

Sometimes I do what I call a 'mind shift' - consciously deciding not to think about a problem I can't solve at present & find something else to occupy my brain.

Been in the same boat for the last few months especially. We have kept to all the rules been depressed not seeing family and friends.

I am always busy in the kitchen and more recently preparing the garden for seed sewing etc. I also create fairy gardens in lamps and pots for indoors with little succulents that I buy on line. I have always studied so I go from one online course to the next.

When the mood drops and I know when it does I reluctantly do a job in the house I would normally overlook. If nothing else fails I go for a walk with DH and the dog to blow the cobwebs away. I hope you find something to lift your mood and help you feel more positive?

I too, have my whinges. Mostly, these are about things that are out of my control and therefore I see little point in dwelling on them too much.

More often, I will focus on positive, good things and distract myself with practical tasks. For instance, I like crafting and sewing and making a useful item for a close friend or a loved one gives me immense satisfaction. Not only do I see the end result of something useful from a piece of fabric but I see the joy in the receiver when I gift the item.

Making a point of accepting the hand we are dealt whilst reshuffling the cards we hold is key; as is acknowledging that there's always someone else much worse off.
