Having pulled pork sandwiches and chips. DD and DS coming round. Fire pit and rugs organised. Mum can sit inside if it’s too cold. Looking forward to it.

Hoping for garden visits this week from DS and also DGD. It will be hard not to give them hugs but we have to carry on being careful for a little longer.

I have arranged for e-cards for the DGC and transferred cash to their accounts for their Easter eggs. I have usually sent them a card each with a banknote included and always known as a "Flat Easter Egg". This is the tech. equivalent!

We shall have our usual quiet weekend- unless something turns up, which it often does.

Garden visiting friends on Thursday as one of them has a birthday just after Easter, another friend in our garden for coffee on Good Friday. Hoped to see DD and DG’s but eldest is in isolation for another week after a Covid contact at school. So, not a lot over the weekend, same as usual.

Nothing planned but will probably have a garden visit to my in-laws on Sunday and drop off Easter Eggs for my 2 nieces , weather permitting.
A new baby sister is due to arrive on Easter Monday so they are unlikely to be there . Thinking about it we would be more than 6 anyway so couldn’t happen.

Just the two of us and an enormous turkey! We had the same size turkey at Christmas and had planned the usual feast of turkey for the next week but my DH collapsed on Boxing Day and ended up in hospital for a few days leaving me at home to munch through the turkey, freezing the remainder (not much left by then!). The farmers had frozen what turkeys they hadn’t sold and offered them to their customers, all hoping to be able to have a houseful by Easter! Not to be but DH is looking forward to the turkey meals he missed out on!

Daughter and family are in our bubble so we will have an Easter egg hunt in the garden followed by a roast for lunch on Sunday.

The highlight will be an Easter egg hunt for our DGS on either Sunday or Monday. Weather permitting we'll cook bacon and sausages on a camp fire afterwards.

We’re having a special dinner this Easter we would normally go to church with a smile for everyone but I think we’ll skip it this year.I’m not too happy to go in a wheelchair. I’ll give my dh a wee rest from pushing me around. We’ve bought in advance 2 cooked lamb shanks soaked in mint sauce for dinner. my DS can have the steak which she’ll prefer. She made the bestest ever roast potatoes yesterday I think we’ll have the same on Easter Sunday with lots of vegetables ?

I’ve arranged for our grandchildren to receive their Easter eggs by transferring a little money into their parents accounts so they can buy the eggs, no point in us sending eggs they’ll just get all bashed up in the post. I hope we get a photo or a video sent to us when they get them. All’s well here.

Have a Happy Easter everyone remember the story. He rose up, oh happy days, it’s a message for all of us Saint or sinner.

Nothing planned, weathers supposed to be cccold so usual walks and meals, probably see my bubble daughter.

I do love Easter and it’s a time to get together with younger ones as they have a long weekend break.
We’ve booked a slot for a National Trust walk for our family of 4 and will take cake and drinks. We live within 5 miles of it.
On other days more walks near to home, traditional roast on Easter Sunday and a chocolate Egg to tuck into.

Probably nothing

Miss seeing our DCs but they are very good at sticking to the rules, as are we, and live on the other side of the country.
However, we'll be having some zoom calls instead

So we'll be going for walks, having nice things to eat and a bottle or two of
In other words, same as every other weekend!

We normally go to our house in France for Easter. We didn't go there last year and we will not be going this year.

DD (our bubble) will be with us for the long weekend and whether we go for out for a walk somewhere local will depend on the weather. DH is recovering from surgery and is waiting, waiting for this cold winter to end. The cold air in a damaged lung causes spasms. He needs warm weather for us to go for a walk.

We will play some golf and I will make a buffet lunch/picnic for Sunday lunch in the garden.

We can only meet outside at a distance, so might walk the dogs together - first time for months - but DH has hurt her back so not sure yet. DS came off his mountain bike and is recovering but still very bruised and stiff so everything waiting on injury!!

Might just make flasks of coffee and hot cross buns and take picnic chairs and sit at a distance but weather not exactly forecast to be picnic weather.

Might do nothing?
