I really recommend the Craig Brown book Kandinsky, I think that you'd enjoy it a lot.

Fanny
Although Paul is my one true love, my husband is aware of this, I do agree to some extent. I don’t think he’s actually done anything amazing after his Beatle days.
John I think was probably living off Yokos talent, George seemed like a really sweet person, but Ringo, nobody’s favourite, seems to have stood the test of time best of all.

Sara I read something along the lines of this; that without Ringo there wouldn't have been The Beatles, they just wouldn't have been able to work together. Ringo was everyone else's best mate and he kept the show in the road.
I've always remembered that, and I think that it applies to quite a few group dynamics.

George. I never fancied Paul, too girly-looking for me. I’ve always preferred a Proper Bloke. ?

It was always Paul for me, and still is.

Definitely George!

John, I wept buckets when he was killed.

Probably Ringo, nowadays. He looks amazing for 80!! I used to be keen on John and George back in the 60s/70s. (Always thought Paul was a bit soppy.) But then eventually I realised they were hypocrites. All that stuff about peace and love and material possessions not mattering, when they were both multi millionnaires in mansions with a dozen cars, and John had a violent personality.

They were a great group, but Paul for me.

Paul always was and always will be.

After much soul searching Paul gets it because of his melodies ( and his eyes?)

Paul and I sadly missed out when a number of years ago, he actually visited my village and 2 of the pubs and even went and had a meal at my dentists'house before going to another pub where he played "Hey Jude " for the first time in public on the pub piano!
I got home from school the day after, to be greeted by my mum who told me - did you know Paul McCartney was in the village last night ?
Story is that he and some friends were travelling along the M1, got bored and just picked a place at random from a map book just for a bit of variety!

Always had a soft spot for Ringo...I had family who lived near to him (pre fame) and all spoke about how nice he was.

Anniebach Fri 09-Apr-21 11:09:47

Didn’t like them, but did listen to George after they split, so

George

Who are the Beatles?

jaybee66 Fri 09-Apr-21 11:19:18

I like John but nobody in my class liked George so I decided to put him as my favourite. I saw them at Wigan ABC in 1964 I think it was.

SueDoku Fri 09-Apr-21 11:21:46

Paul - those eyes, those legs (that bum - sorry to lower the tone ?)

dancingnana1 Fri 09-Apr-21 11:22:06
