Hellogirl1 Mon 17-May-21 21:50:57

Sad news , RIP Daisyboots.
A bit of good news came tonight. Great grandchild number 5 arrived just before 6 pm, named Hudson James, but don`t yet know his weight.

annodomini Mon 17-May-21 21:12:29

Urms, the picture of Plockton (yes, Doodle, it's real!) brings back so many memories of holidays in the Highlands with my parents and sisters when we had a caravan. Plockton was the scene of the series Hamish Macbeth which set Robert Carlisle on the path to stardom.

Doodle Mon 17-May-21 20:25:43

soop that is a beautiful tribute to Daisyboots. A lovely photo. RIP ?
Kitty a bat in your bedroom ?. I would be as frightened as the bat. (that didn’t come out quite as I intended it ?)
muse even though your son hasn’t found a job yet it’s good to know you think he’s feeling better.
Urms ? is Plockton a real place? I feel like indulging in a bit of Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub.

Urmstongran Mon 17-May-21 20:08:41

4 and a half weeks brook but who’s counting?
?

brook2704 Mon 17-May-21 20:05:45

Beautiful picture of Plockton Urms thank you - not long until you’re there now!

brook2704 Mon 17-May-21 20:04:36

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dear kind friend hopesprings
Such a sad loss of Daisyboots, please pass my condolences onto her DH
I hope you will join us in the kitchen as often as you can

Urmstongran Mon 17-May-21 19:56:10

Understandably such sadness in the kitchen tonight. May I add my sincere condolences to the others that have been offered?

I didn’t know Daisyboots. I was only aware that she lived in Portugal. Even so, to hear of a GN regular no longer being part of this on line forum is heartbreaking for all who knew her well.

RIP Daisyboots. ?

Feelingmyage55 Mon 17-May-21 19:42:37

hopesprings So sorry to hear about daisyboots. How difficult for you to have not been able to visit just one more time. Please pass condolences to her DH and say how much we enjoyed her company.
Come back and speak to us. What were her favourite flowers or colours. I shall grow some in her honour.
Take care of yourself.

Jaxjacky Mon 17-May-21 19:05:30

Very sad, I didn’t really ‘know’ * Daisyboots* but, thoughts are with you Hopesprings and her family. A very soothing picture soop.
Another day of rain, including thunder, with sunny intervals, went to the vape shop, library and we’ve just returned from a couple in our local. How delightful to see everyone again!
Didn’t get my hug with DD and GC’s, they had a birthday to go to and tomorrow after school, our granddaughter is playing netball, busy lives, as it should be.
Take care all.

Thank you so much soop for the kind thoughts about my dear son. I still think he made the right decision about his resignation. His health seems so much better now. I told him this on Sunday when we spoke.

Lovely day here today and I've been planting glads in one of the new beds. Decided to plant the mini corn in the polytunnel.

I didn't know DaisyBoots but so sad to hear the news. My thoughts are with HopeSprings. Please stay to chat here in the kitchen.
