Peasblossom outward smiles and inward screams.

I’m living your nightmare.

We moved 60 miles away from home when the children were small, always with that view that we would go ‘home’ of course there is no one left ‘at home’ now and We are stuck here, because DH loves the peace and quiet.

you always take yourself with you
That is so true and you can never run away from things.
I can't count the number of places I have lived in for more than 4 or 5 years at a time and strangely have returned to - Swansea, London, France, London, Devon, France, London, Devon. Going round on circles.
The good thing about moving is having new experiences all the time.
You're not exactly missing anything where you are Polarbear as long as you are happy.

I have always lived within 30 miles of where i am now.
And i loved every house/flat i have lived in.
I wouldn`t want it any different, thats why i love a holiday and a long distance day out.
The UK is the best place for me.

I always like somewhere new, whether it’s travelling or moving home. I like the discovery and meeting new people.

My nightmare would be to live in a village, do the same walks every day, meet the same people no matter what the event is, fete, WI, Garden club, have the same conversation over and over again. I tried it once and just wanted to scream ?

It was the same with jobs. Three years and I was ready to move on.

I think you’re either one sort of person or the other. ?

I’ve always lived in the same city but occasionally get the feeling I should try living somewhere else? I’ve felt this much more lately. I feel I’m perhaps missing something?? I once had this conversation with a guy who had lived all around the world. He said it’s not all it seems and ‘you always take yourself with you’. Thoughts/experiences??
