Hi Rufus2 glad you're OK. Had lunch out with a friend today. Gosh she's having a terrible time. I think the only things I said were, 'Oh no, oh dear, how awful, what a shame etc' for 2 hours.
DS phoned in a state to tell me his friend has malignant melanoma and has 30+ stitches in his face. The poor boy. Well he's mid 30s I suppose but what an awful thing. Happened in Scotland too. Doesn't seem fair somehow given our 'sunny' climate. So gloomy day so far.

Hi Rufus, glad you found the thread. Cloudy, shower of rain early on and about 16 here. UEFA are discussing the location for the final with our government, decision on Wednesday. I’ll be up the allotment at 8:30 tomorrow, in body, if not spirit, I’ve some help with digging and an he’s an early starter! I need to be there to undo the two padlocks on the gates. 1 week today our local opens, before we saunter down there, I’ll be nipping over to my daughter’s when she’s finished work, to give her and both grandchildren a great big hug, first for over a year.
Take care ?

Good Evening!
First Up! Does anyone feel sorry for me? If so, please don't!
I felt like Daniel sticking my head in a lionesses den recently, but fortunately nothing much happened grin
Jaxjacky I used the GN search for the Daily cartoons which took me to Google and found it. Now I see Ixion has posted one this evening so will follow that later.
I also need to brush up on Know-How to get pictures from magazines to GN.

I see United didn't do City any favours by winning, so we still wait before cracking open that special bottle. wine
We're back to a wintry spell; no snow: but not allotment digging weather; Too much risk of doing one's back in!!

Waiting to see what Goodies will be in our Federal Budget tomorrow. The experts are urging "Big Spending| on everything, even the elderly, but it remains to be seen how much filters down to those who need help.

Someone took the Fed. Govt. to court trying to get the ban on Aussies trying to return to OZ from India lifted, but failed, I'm glad to say!
I've no idea who funds these legal challenges; barristers don't come cheap and then there's Court costs.

Two good progs. on TV this evening. "Tower of London" was made when visitors began to return after months of it being closed because of Covid

Followed by Susan doing her final episode of "Secret Scotland"; this time we were in the Orkneys.
Not sure what season we were in, but no snow so it could have been High Summer, except that in all outdoor shots everyone was rugged up in scarves and windcheaters. No kilts on display! shock
So there you go Aveline!
That dictionary you promised might still be necessary because I'm sure either Neil Oliver, or Baldrick will pop up next week. and Taggart is still waiting in the wings!
Good Health wine wine wine
